I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Regina and her staff at Hearing Care of Palatine. But, even more importantly I cannot say how much I love my recent gift of clear hearing. I say ‘gift’ even though hearing aids are not cheap, but what dollar value can you really put on the sense of crisp hearing.
I had hearing aids 18 years ago with a customized inner canal fit, but after 5 years I stopped wearing them as my head always felt stuffed up and they also drew my attention to my tinnitus.
This past month I received an invite to a free ‘lunch and learn’ from Hearing Care of Palatine. I thought now was the time to see and hear what was up with hearing aids and the newest technology. Dr Regina asked that I come in for a quick audiology test to verify I was a candidate. I was and after the’ lunch and learn’ I scheduled a visit immediately that day. In this visit Dr Regina fitted me with one of the newer hearing aids for a quick trial. She programmed the aid for my hearing loss. I put them on for 20 minutes in her office and was immediately sold. I could hear so many details of everyone’s speech that I have been missing for years. I ordered mine that day and had them the next week.
Before the new hearing aids, I felt I could hear people, but I was not hearing the details of everyone’s speech which made it difficult to understand every word. I also discovered how much effort I was putting into hearing. Now, I just simply hear everyone and every word. Previously, I was always apologizing for not hearing, asking people to repeat what they said, or just saying «What?». Every morning I look forward to putting these new hearing aids on/​in and enjoying sound again. I hear conversation. I hear the words of songs that I don’t know. I can watch TV and movies without ‘putting the words up’. These new hearing aids are so comfortable that I almost forget to remove them before going to bed. While these hearing aids are outside the ear, they are well hidden behind the ear and are not noticeable — to the point people are surprised I have them on. [Don’t be vain; not having them will make you seem older because you do not follow conversation and because you are always say «What?”]
For me having a 20 minute in-​office trial at no cost was the selling point. I was just so blown away hearing the conversation around me so clearly. Dr Regina is very friendly and knowledgeable. She patiently scheduled a few follow ups to fine-​tune the program settings to ensure my hearing is the best it can be. Thanks to her and her staff for providing this wonderful service.

We’ve been going to Dr Regina for years. She’s patient, kind, friendly and very good at her job. She always goes the extra mile to save us money and even has a delightful sense of humor
The office staff is very nice to deal with and parking is close to the front door. The office is on ground level and it’s easy to get my husband and his walker from the car to the office

Not a good place if you are looking for the care and attention you need. The staff is very rude, the doctor is extremely full of herself and doesn’t have the patient’s best interest at heart. I’m very disappointed in this place.

When I had to look for a new audiologist a couple years ago, I had a recommendation to come here. Regina (the owner/​audiologist) was incredibly friendly and helpful from the start. She had me fitted for a top-​of-​the-​line hearing aid brand and met with me several times to ensure the hearing aids were working correctly. During the first few months, I was having problems with the hearing aids (they were a brand new product) and she patiently worked with me and the hearing aid company to ensure that I had the perfect hearing aids. When I had problems with the hearing aids again a year later, she worked well with me again to get them fixed.
I am very thankful for all the hard work she has put into my experience (as well as the few battery samples she’s shared with me) and will be staying with her as long as I can. (As for the troubling hearing aids? None of it was her fault — it was all on the company. She did what she could.) I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking an audiologist. I also love that this is a private practice and the people working at the front desk always remember me!
