Good culvers with good food. The service here is very good and it’s usually very quick. The custard is always good and the inside is clean and there is plenty of parking.

This is now my Culver’s of choice though I’ve frequented at least eight or ten different locations. The best thing on their menu, for me, are the onion rings. They are greasy, heavenly deliciousness in a paper sleeve. A side of ranch for dipping is always free. I’m partial to the mushroom swiss burger and the breaded pork tenderloin. I tried the pot roast but found it way too salty for me. My sister tells me the fish and chips are great too, but I’ve yet to give that a try, mostly because I’m not a fan of French fries. The thing with all locations is the customer service. I’ve never seen anybody who works there that was less than kind and caring. Oh and their root beer is delicious though my drink of choice is typically unsweetened iced tea. Theirs is tasty!

So this is a burger & fries review only. Since I went to M Burger in Skokie the other day I feel the need to compare spots… I’ll start by saying that the restaurant is clean and well kept. Service was good. Getting to the burger. It’s basically a thin flattened patty on a big bun with a good amount of extras. So you’ll get lots of tomato, lettuce, & stuff with a thin patty, & good bun. I mean it’s ok but not if you really want burger flavor. I’m sure the double would help with the meat to stuff ratio… It might remind me of Steak & Shake with a lot less grease. One thing that I hate is that they don’t melt the cheese even a little(se my photo)…boo! The fries here are strange. They are like potato bits that have been formed into a crinkle cut shape and deep fried. Just an odd texture to me… Overall I wouldn’t do Culvers for a burger & fries. Too many other spots that do a better job. Other things on the menu might be good but I will leave those for someone else to review.

Hate to say it, but Culver’s is one of those chains that’s easy to forget about, and seeing that I’m the first to review this place in two years, it looks like others feel the same way as well. This place is OK — what I like about this and other Culver’s is the variety that other fast food places don’t offer. I had a Pork Tenderloin sandwich at this place — a seldom seen option on take out menus. A substantial offering for the price. Shakes and malts are excellent as well. Staff was very accommodating — if I think of it again, I’ll go back here.

Their evening staff is terrible! Once I was in the drive thru and asked what mint shakes they had and the girl with a major attitude said. uh haha just regular mint. I asked to give me what ever they had. she said nothing and said loud pull to the window. Rude. She was there at the window, never looked at me and another guy handed me my shake. Same girl another time with a ghetto attitude again! I just stopped going there in the evening. Tonight I went to get a pumpkin cheese cake cemente mixer… Seriously tasted like milk with huge chunks of cheese cake — gross! The girl(different girl) seems very tired and almost looked like she had been crying. Weirded experiences at this location. we love the food but it is always hit it miss with this place!

$ 2 for a pint of delicious custard? Eat your heart out Ben & Jerry. Mmm…custard. This isn’t my typical eatery but on a quest to have a friend try custard, we drove across the street to pick up dessert. The really friendly man behind the counter, Jose, made sure we received the best deal possible with our custard purchase, went the seemingly extra step by putting the custard in a freezer bag and sent us on our way. The flavors were tasty and fresh. Nice work, custard kings.

Went in on Saturday and I got a Butterburger with Cheese and the Caramel Apple Cobbler custard(both of which were delish). My hubby got a meal with a butterbugger, fries, and a soda which he enjoyed. To top things off that day they had ½ priced concretes(similar to a blizzard) which he had in twix. The concrete was soooo good. This isn’t the closest Culver’s to my house, but they have amazing deals so I will definitely be back.

You already know I love Culvers. We had to stop here when we saw the sign with the custard flavor of the day: Really Reeses. And really, there were a lot of Reese’s cup chunks blended with the smooth chocolate custard for me and my kids to appreciate. What makes this Culvers unique is the koi pond right next to the entrance. There’s one exceptionally fat fish in the pond that I presume must be getting a steady diet of leftovers, as it is significantly larger than the rest of the fish in the pond. With all the custard I’ve had lately, I just hope I don’t end up that way.

I have had several just terrible meals here. Don’t get their fish and their shakes are not shakes you can’t even drink then through a straw. Its like custard in a shake glass… I was disappointed. My husband and I decided not to eat here anymore. The area has way to many good restaurants to eat at.

these are real burgers, butter burgers and are on a different plane than the other fast food burger joints… it’s simply, but it’s quality and their custards are super good too… the turtle custard was so good it made me feel naughty… yummy-licous!

We drove by there today. I haven’t had a butter burger in at least 6 years. I was stuffed… but we decided to order some anyways… figured that we could just reheat them later. Ordered 2 small custards to go as well… plain for my son and fudge and nuts for myself. The custard was amazing as I remembered… but the fudge was almost nonexistent. They use those Spanish peanuts with the skin… and put way too many. so it was a little bit too salty. Just reheated my butter burger. Ugh. These are no good reheated. Ewww. Fresh, they are amazing. the meat crisp at the edges… When you reheat them all kinds of gross things happen. I heated the meat portion only. And then I put it back together. This caused the bun to get hot… and all the butter to react… way way too greasy. The meat itself… well do you know what a meat goblin is? My friends and I coined that weird meat gristle that always ends up in your mouth after eating a Mcdonald’s burger a meat goblin. It doesn’t matter what part of the burger you eat… there is always a meat goblin in your mouth when you are done. The reheated piece of meat was all meat goblin. I couldn’t even eat half. I still give it three stars because if I had eaten it fresh, I probably wouldn’t have noticed, and their staff is pretty courteous.

As a Wisconsinophile, it’s hard not to LOVE this chain of Wi Hamburger places. They focus on quality, so you’ll have to wait a little for your food, but they’ll run it out to your table, and everything they serve just tastes really fresh and good. From their home in Wi they’ve spread all over the Midwest, and this location is pretty close to my work– I come here on lunch breaks whenever I need a fix. This one gets bonus points too for having flyfishing wall art that further supports my Wi getaway fantasies! In addition to their famous«butter burgers,» they have a great fried walleye dinner with mashed potatoes, and at one point(before they removed it from their menu!) I was completely addicted to their Sante Fe chicken sandwich(cajun chicken breast, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, red onions, avocado-mmm). Order a side of fried Cheese Curds! Plus, they serve all kinds of frozen custard ice crème treats too, but I’m usually feeling too guilty with the fatty food fest to top it off with dessert. So if you’ve never tried Culvers, you’re really missing out. Way better than the national fast food chains both in quality of food, variety, and service.

The very first Culver’s I ever went to when we were exploring the Fall leaves last year(before the gas crunch!). I was impressed! The food is very good, but the cost was slightly higher than I expected. And don’t forget the custard ice cream. Wow, was it delicious. Worth the drive up there. The staff at the counter was unbelieveably courteous. That’s when I found out that they have to get schooling from the home office in Wisconsin on behavior and customer support. I wish that all our customer contact services gave their employees the same training! I was on a walker, and when I was leaving, an employee practically jumped over the counter to open the door for me! The food, the cleanliness, the attention to customer support equals a winning combination!
