Kathleen is a delightful person. My cat made friends with her easily. Kathleen spent a lot of time with me on her first visit, learning about the house, cat care, toys he likes, etc.
While I was away the first time «daily» messages regarding my cat were less than daily (which could have been due to signal access as I was out of the country.) The second time I was away, Kathleen could not find my key — but borrowed one from a neighbor (thank goodness for that back up plan!) Again I had to request the daily updates.
Kathleen is great and my cat was indoors and happy when I returned, but the lost and un-​returned keys are a bit of a concern. I hope Kathleen is ok and not suffering family or medical concerns. Sadly, I will be seeking alternative care for the cat during my next trip.

We used Kathleen when I started working. She was a god-​spent. My puppies loved her. They’d dance, tail wag and wiggle at the sound of her voice. She was kind, loving and amazing. Everyone who lives near should be using her. You dogs will be so happy you do.

Kathleen is so amazing. My cat Shadow who is a rescue is very skittish with other people, but not with Kathleen. He loves her and feels so comfortable with her and will give her sweet purrs. He even lets her pet him which shows how wonderful Kathleen is with him. I love that she takes pictures to keep me updated when I’m gone. I will be using Kathleen for years to come.

Kathleen is absolutely wonderful. She goes above and beyond in taking care of my fur babies. I have used her services for a few years. I get a text with photo during visits so I know the pups are good. One time I lost power due to a storm and she went above and beyond to secure the house and spent extra time to make sure the dogs were settled before leaving. I highly recommend using Alone at Home!

I recently moved from Chicago to Mt Prospect and have had a heck of a hard time finding a bonded and insured pet sitter who looks after exotic pets. I’m very happy to have found Alone At Home just before the holidays. Kathleen was able to squeeze my two turtles into her hectic holiday schedule and was extremely professional at both the consultation and throughout the week an a half I was out of town. (As an aside, she apparently has enough experience with turtles to have known that my darling Elliot and Pete were girls, without my mentioning it! I was shocked.) I even received a text letting me know all was well at the start of my vacation I returned home to find happy turtles and will definitely use Alone At Home for my pet sitting needs!

We just moved to the suburbs from the city and needed a dog walker to care for our guy while we are at work. Having prior experience in the pet care industry I know an animal lover when I see, Kathleen is a truly one of those people. She sends me picture updates everyday when she is at my home which I look forward to while I’m at work, along with a little note. Diesel is a big guy and I do not trust most people to walk him, however I have full confidence in Kathleen. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for pet care in the area.

We recently moved to the Chicago area, and have had a cat who was only cared for by family members and close friends for the past ten years when we went out of town. Naturally, I was very apprehensive to leave her alone, for the first time, with someone new. Kathleen was wonderful from the moment I met her. She came to our home for an initial consultation to meet with our cat, and get a «lay of the land». Our cat immediately gravitated to Kathleen, who talked with us, while simultaneously playing with, and showing a genuine interest in our cat. I knew right away this was a great match! She truly loves animals, and is a very compassionate, caring individual. During our vacation, Kathleen sent us pictures of our cat as updates. This was extremely comforting. Once we had returned, we found that she had collected our mail and packages, in addition to leaving us with a daily log of what she and our cat did each day. Very thorough and impressive! I would most definitely recommend Kathleen to ALL of my friends and family who have animals. We had put off traveling because we were so nervous to entrust the care of our very loved girl to just anyone. Kathleen put all of our fears to rest, and now we can enjoy traveling occasionally again without worry.

I went away for the weekend and used Alone at Home to take care of my two cats. I am very impressed by their professionalism, caring manner and the «little extras». They left a diary of their visits as well as a welcome home card from our cats and also sent an MMS each day with a pic of our cats. Definitely above and beyond what was expected!

Through recommendation of a friend I have had the good fortune to use the services of Alone at Home Petz. I have two elderly cats who need specialized care (meds, prescription foods, etc). Whenever I leave town on business which is a lot these days Kathleen and sometimes Steve take great care of my cats. They are very professional, caring and attentive to detail. Most importantly you can tell that they love animals and love what they do. My cats seem to certainly love them! I couldn’t be happier. Its nice to know that I have someone I can trust in my home to take care of my «boys» while I’m away instead of a shelter. Highly Recommended!
