This was my favorite store in the 2014 Texas Hill Country Yarn Crawl. The ladies are so nice and the one lady who was assisting the owner was so personable and eager to help. Definitely worth a drive out to see this welcoming and cozy little store.

Yarnorama… GREAT store with LOTs of yarn choices as well as spinning wheels and weaving supplies. Susan was super helpful and I’m going back one day soon to take a spinning class. Homey, but upscale shop with a cozy atmosphere. I could stay all day! What an UNEXPECTED surprise in such a small town!

I spent a couple of hours today at Yarnorama. I LOVED it. I“m from Los Angeles so off the top it was so cool to drive there from Austin. When we arrived I was so excited to see such a cute store front. Porch and benches? Check! Looking authentic? Check! Ok, so now I open the door and I am greeted by an overwhelming array of color and texture. I knew I was REALLY in the right place. This magical place has yarn of every color and texture. The colors oh the colors! I was thrilled to be in this shop. Yarn in every texture and make up. I loved that there was Cascade 220 on spools. The store’s brand(and I cant remember what the name is) comes in so many pretty colors. These are mostly tone on tone are just lovely. This is also a weaving and spinning store. There were what several looms set up around the store. She sells a large selection of weaving yarn as well as rovings of different kinds to use with the many types of drop spindles and wheels. Susan the store owner know her stuff. She was very knowledgeable about everything in the store. She was also very kind and helpful We sat around the table and knit for a while. I cant wait to go back.

Cute little yarn store in small-town TX. When I was driving to Houston all the time I used to stop here to browse and pet the bunnies. Yes, the bunnies. They are amazing. And by amazing I do also mean amazing loud. Who knew rabbits snore like truck drivers? In addition to yarn, and there is a lot of great yarn, they also have materials for weaving and spinning. I don’t do those, so cannot comment on their selection of looms and fiber, but the yarn is great. Sure it’s pricey, but it’s good stuff.

Yes this yarn shop is out in the country but it is worth a weekend drive to a little old house in Paige. Susan is a master of knitting, spinning, and weaving and will answer any question you have with patience and knowledge. You will find a great variety of quality yarns. Including Buffalo Gold, Araucania, Malabrigo, Fleece Artist, Louet, Madeline Tosh to name a few. But the highlights are the local yarns. Susan dyes her own yarn and roving under the brand«Fiber Obsessions» and another local artist, Robin, always has a selection of hand dyed and hand spun yarn. Robin spins a 2 ply laceweight that will make you cry. She also stocks a great variety of spinning and weaving products, including looms and wheels, some are gently used and nicely priced. I bought a table top loom a few years ago and got a free lesson to help me get started. There are special events like regular spinning and knitting groups. Knit-alongs to try new projects together, and the occasional class. Oh and there are resident angora bunnies. Who can resist that?
