The food is always great. Unique items such as the Oriental Chicken Salad and the Spring Rolls are fantastic. The steaks are great, I have friends that love the lamb chops and I always enjoy the ribs. The skewers are very good, and others rave about the juicy burgers. There is something for everyone on the menu. Once in a while the service is lacking and could use some improvement. If it was not for the unfriendly service, I would be giving this place five stars.

It’s been a few weeks since my husband and I ate here after a recommendation. The décor«is nothing to write home about», as my mother used to say, but that wasn’t the reason we were there. Also, our waitress wasn’t well informed, so we guessed that she was new. Oops, wrong! Just working a different shift, so we weren’t quite sure why that would make a difference. Now I get to the goo part! The food was delicious!!! Great barbecue, and… the best potato salad that I have EVER had in a restaurant. I was tempted to get some to take home with us, and also recommended it to a nearby table when I overheard them trying to decide on which sides to select. They laughed when I showed them my plate, and then said that I was almost tempted to lick the little bit I couldn’t scrape up with my fork.(No, I really am no that uncouth when I eat, even @ home!) So yes, we will be back soon. And yes, I have been craving their potato salad. Much easier than making it @ home and just as good!!!

My son and I went there, had pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw, and fries. He has pulled brisket, fries and potatoe salad. Everything was great. Service great! I will have to bring my wife and daughter here. Worth the trip from Las Vegas eastside!

We tried this place again to give it a second chance. The meal and service were once again subpar. I had the ribs. If you like oven cooked ribs with zero flavor and coated with a ketchup and brown sugar sauce this is the place for you. My wife had the pork chops. They were burned up. The apple sauce was a simple fruit cup from Costco. It even had some of the foil covering attached. The service was atrocious. I had to beg for ketchup and a Pepsi refill. Halfway through the meal the waitress handed us the check without asking if we needed anything else. I actually said out loud, great I guess we’re finished. Also watch your step in the lobby. It looks like a used Asian garage sale.

Sorry but I was craving BBQ ribs and they were all fat and very dry. They serve large portions but give me less and better quality.

Some of the best ribs I have ever had. The prices are amazing. The portions are some of the biggest I have seen. I wish there was a place like this in Vegas.

This was the BEST barbeque meal I’ve ever had! Everything we ate from the brisket and ribs, down to the beans and slaw were delicious and cooked perfectly. It took a little while to be served, but to me that just meant it was all made fresh. The portions are very generous and the service excellent. I only wish I could move this restaurant to my hometown!

We had 6 guys visiting Front Sight for a week. Not only did we come here twice in four days, we decided this was our go-to spot any time we come again. HUGE portions, delicious bbq all around. We tried almost everything on the menu. Half rack of ribs, skewers and the brisket all were group favorites. Baked potato and steamed veggies were top sides. If you want to fill up for a week of shooting, this is the spot!

We have been in the area for a winery and this place was recommended for lunch. It was a solid meal! I choose a platter with three skewers: pork, steak and shrimp. The sides were a baked potato and steamed veggies. Everything was nicely prepared, the service was good — not fast, not slow but completely acceptable. I did see the ribs come out and they looked amazing. Maybe next time!

The steak I had was very nice. not fantastic but nice enough. However the only thing BBQ about this place is the small selection of ribs. nope you cannot get a BBQ steak, chicken, pork, or anything else so the name of the place is a puzzlement. The service was acceptable and not the usual overbearing is everything ok every 15 minutes you get from corporate owned restaurants. The carrot cake was bit enough for 3 – 4 people. 2 if you want to gain weight like I need any more of that.

I’ve been hearing about this place since my family started moving to Pahrump a few years back. Being that I don’t really eat meat(seafood only), BBQ joints aren’t really my thing. However, I finally went in for dinner with my parents and sister and it was pretty good. I had the salmon, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The portions here are HUGE! I ate half and took half. The cost was appropriate, especially by Pahrump standards. I did really appreciate the selection of strong German beer and the price on those was very fair. Yeah, I think this place is probably awesome if you dig big slabs of meat. I will say everything I saw put on the table looked and smelled pretty damn good! Only reason I didn’t give Red Sky a higher review is cause I can’t really judge on a majority of the menu. .. all the meat!

Don’t let the outside fool you, the food is excellent and prices fair. I recommend the lamb chops.

Service is horrible the food was disgusting, I been to many BBQ places and this by far was the worst. The tables were disgusting and sticky, one table towards the front looked like someone was living on it. The owner treated her waitress like crap.

Really strange and even uncomfortable place, forgetful waitresses – and TERRIFICFOOD. Which is why I keep asking to go here. Expect an interior that looks like the inside of a colorfully painted old Elk’s lodge. Expect mismatched chairs and rocky tables that come uncomfortably close to chin level. Expect a waitress that keeps showing up with an armload of plates saying, «Is this yours?» And expect great food. Lots of large lovely portions of food that tastes like nothing else. I can’t figure out what the cuisine of this place is, but it’s GOOD and it has me lusting after it in such a way that I question if there are habit-forming and possibly illegal substances in their barbecue sauce. Try their skewers. And ribs. Mashed potatoes. Potato salad. Salmon. Salads. Garlic bread. Steamed vegetables. Stir-fried vegetables. Spring rolls. Shrimp cocktail. OK now I’m hungry again.

The brisket was delicious, just pulled apart with a fork. The steak was very juicy. Not to mention how great the Jalapeño poppers were. The bathroom stunk and the door didn’t work well.(I got stuck). But the costumer service was great. They were very attentive and polite. I’d recommend it to everyone I know.

A year and a half later, things aren’t any better, maybe worse. Service is terrible, really terrible and the food is merely ok. The best item there are the beans. I waited 15 minutes to be seated with 50% of the tables empty. The lady who appeared to be the owner or manager kept repeatedly saying she would prepare a table. She made these statements amidst other cursing and complaining, yet other than open a bottle of wine, I didn’t actually see her do anything functional. There is NO barbecue. Everything is oven baked. The only BBQ item on the dinner menu is ribs. The ribs are coated with a sweet bottle sauce at serving time, they’re cooked dry. On the lunch menu there is pulled pork and brisket. Why not for dinner? The ribs are meaty and OK, but the meat is pretty gamey tasting, especially absent any smoke or cooked in flavor. Beans were great. For the entire restaurant, there was only one young man waiting all tables, running food, running the cash register, bussing tables, etc. evidently he was under 21 because he needed to get dragon lady to bring a beer. To be clear, this kid worked his butt off, but there should have been at least two people for table service. The wait to order was long and other patrons would literally get up and chase him down to place their dinner order. If she wasn’t delivering a beer to a table, dragon lady was missing in action. I really felt sorry for the kid. He was cheerful but harried. I won’t be making a third trip to red sky. The net take is despite being cheap, it sucks.

Great BBQ! Half rack of ribs with sides, is plenty of food for the average person. Ribs are tender, and fall off the bone. Brisket was okay. Décor seems to be in the style of Early American Thrift Store. To say the service is slow is an understatement. It’s pathetic. It’s difficult to get the server to acknowledge your presence, and when she finally does, it’s with an attitude. And I don’t mean the playful attitude you get at some places, this was chip on her shoulder, don’t bother me, I don’t wanna be here attitude. However, the food is good. It can be a bit difficult to find, but other than the service, it’s worth it. Prices are very reasonable. Four stars based on food only!

You can enjoy cheap beer and some meaty treats if you’re passing through Pahrump, but I was a little disappointed in the selection. I was hoping for a straight ahead BBQ spot with piles of pulled pork, tangy pickles and bottles of homemade sauces on the table. In reality, the BBQ selections are a bit limited with the main BBQ feature being the ribs. We ended up playing it safe and just sharing the appetizer sampler platter, which at $ 12 ended up being more than enough for a pretty good lunch for two. It included ribs, chicken skewers and two pulled pork tacos. The ribs were some of the meatiest baby backs I have seen, but they were a tad dry. The pork tacos were just okay because the tortillas were overheated. The skewers were definitely my favorite on the platter. We also ordered a side of beans, and they were the best of the bunch. We almost ordered a second serving! That and the selection of $ 2.50 bottled beers were the big highlights of our stop here.
