Great Lengths Salon & Spa

I am very picky about anyone who works on my hair, face and body and especially my nails! I do a lot of traveling. Some domestic, but mostly international. So, of course, if I am going somewhere, especially overseas, especially for business, I always want to look my best!
I live in California. I live around where they have the best salons and spas in the world. I live close to Palm Springs, Beverly Hills, Hollywood and San Diego County. And, I have had my hair, face, body and nails worked on many of the different salons in the places I have mentioned. Not to forget my many hours in the spa and salons on many cruise ships!
But, the only place I go to have ANYTHING done is at Charm’s Great Lengths Salon and Spa. Now, how I usually work this is I usually plan on doing a week of shopping in Vegas. So, I call the shop and make sure that I can get everything I need done in a timely manner and relaxing to boot. I only schedule one or maybe two things to have done so not to tax my body too much. After doing so much shopping and driving around, it is nice to have something done at HER shop.
To be fair, I met Charm many moons ago. She did my nails. At the time I met her my usual girl in Palm Springs had left for 2weeks for a vacation and didn’t call me to inform me. But since I had this really important affair I HAD to show up to, I just had to have my nails done.
I have very sensitive skin. And I really cannot deal with that electronic filing gizmo. It hurts me and it takes off too much of my nail and mostly I get accidentally filed on my cuticle and start bleeding. But, most nail techs don’t really seem to be that concerned. They just wait for the bleeding to stop so that they can finish in a timely manner and get the next customer in as fast as possible.
But Charm didn’t do that to me. She was gentle. I told her exactly what I wanted and she took very good care of me. It is great to see that she has her own shop and her standards have not changed and that she has her people who work in her shop continue with the same high standards and quality of service.
No matter what happens when my husband retires and we move, you can be sure that even if I have to fly to get the kind of service I demand and the quality to be the upmost, that no matter what, I will be going to Great Lengths Salon and Spa for all my services. I only go to the best. So should everyone else who is reading my review!
And good luck to those who aren’t. Oh, don’t worry… She can fix someone else’s mistakes.

A recent transplant from California I heard about this salon from a friend of a friend of a friend.
Finding a new hairdresser, nail person, etc, after moving from where I had lived for over 20 years, I figured would be a daunting task, take many attempts, failures and such. but NO!
I went to Toni and she did a marvelous job with the color and cut of my hair, and trust me, my hair is not the easiest to work with. She is a magician and I just love it.
And so a week later I thought why not try the same salon for a pedicure. I was given an appointment with Connie and wow! I felt like a pampered queen for an hour of pure heaven.
Next week it will be the nails.
This shop is clean, spotless, bright and all there seem happy and to enjoy their work. I didn’t hear any sniping or gossiping, which is so refreshing.
Tucked off the main road in a strip mall, you would never notice it, if you weren’t looking for it, but trust me, it’s worth finding!
