DSP Pizzeria

I’m sitting at about 3.5 stars for this place. But since that’s not actually an option, I’m going to leave it at 3 stars, so I don’t overrate it.
The food was good, obviously homemade. The prices were decent, as well. The space is actually pretty small, so I wouldn’t recommend this for big parties. They say they take delivery orders, but we ended up going to the to restaurant after trying for 45 minutes to call the place. I’m guessing the phone was off the hook.
When we got there, we stood in the door waiting for someone to help us, but no one did. I had to walk up to the bar to find out that it’s a seat yourself establishment. So, don’t wait to be seated. The woman I asked at the bar seemed a bit stressed out, and was a bit curt with me, when I asked. I’m going to attribute that to it being a holiday weekend, and she was probably under more pressure than normal.
The waitress was actually very friendly, and attentive. More so than most restaurants. The food was good, and still hot. It’s also important to note that the portions are huge. I got the Supreme Calzone, and our family probably could have shared it. Not too bad for the price! My wife and I ordered drinks, which were generous pours, and not over-​priced. We ordered the garlic knots, but they actually weren’t garlicky. I’m not sure what happened there, because most of the reviewers here seem to really love them. Again, maybe it’s because of the holiday rush?
This is obviously a locals place, and it has a snowboarder/​skier atmosphere. There wasn’t a band playing the night we were there. I would recommend it, but again, it’s a small place, and apparently quite popular. You may have to wait if it’s busy.
It sure beats the hell out of Pizza Hut, though. :-)

We dropped in here on New Year’s Day and it was so great! Everyone who worked here was so nice. The knots on the appetizer menu are amazing. The HUGE slices are — guess what — HUGE! Definitely going to add this place as one of my regular Pagosa stops. And thank you to our sweet server who gave each of my kiddos a quarter for gumballs!

Killer vibe, killer pizza! Green goddess grilled cheese Sammy was delightful as well. Stopped in for a bite en route to Durango, what a pleasant surprise!

Tonight was our last night in town, we’re from St. Louis, and we were hoping to find some awesome pizza! It started off badly when we called for carry out and the woman on the phone was completely rude. We understand being busy, as we own a few businesses back home, so we looked past it and ordered anyways! She told us on the phone it would be about 10 minutes but it ended up being 25. The pizza was amazing but we were really excited about the garlic knots, since reviews said they were great! We got all the way back to our place and found that the garlic knots were completely burnt and hard to even get down. We were so disappointed! The pizza is great just make sure you double check everything before paying if you’re doing carry out.

The pizza was good, nothing special. My problem was the service. We waited a long time for our pizza, which was served warm, not hot; so I don’t know why it took so long to get to our table. And we never got a refill on all 5 of our drinks. I doubt I’ll go back.

Just recently moved to Pagosa and have already enjoyed DSP twice. Had the calzone with pepperoni and banana peppers after seeing the picture on here and let me tell you… It was just as good if not better than it looked!!! Salad was delicious and fresh and their ranch dressing is definitely on my top 5 favorite! The pizza is delicious also, definitely will be a regular at this spot! Must try!

Fun place with good food. Pizza by the slice is huge and you order the toppings you want.

DSP Pizzeria was delicious! I wasn’t expecting much, to be honest, from this little restaurant by the strip mall with the City Market, but I was wonderfully surprised. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and it was seriously large. These are the biggest slices of pizza I have ever seen. And they pack a good flavor in addition to being impressively large. I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in Pagosa. I would love to try some of their other pizzas, and I would love to sit in the restaurant and order beers while eating pizza after hiking all day. I actually really liked their décor with all the skis on the walls! Also, they have a little patio out front and I saw people eating there with their dogs. I just got a dog so I am on a kick where I just think dog friendly restaurants are the best! Definitely check this place out if you are looking for a slice in Pagosa!

We chose this place because it has a patio and we have a little dog with us. The blonde server rudely said we could not sit on the patio with our dog and then stated it was illegal in Colorado, which I know is incorrect! I live in Colorado Springs and we eat at many places with our dog on the patio and we have eaten at many places in Denver with him too. We went down the road to another restaurant, 2 Chick’s & a Hippie and they were most welcoming with our dog!
My fiancé and I just got a vacation home here and DSP will not be on our list of restaurants to go to. Their loss of business!

We had a long day of hiking and then the hot springs! So we wanted to chill at the springs hotel !
We called for delivery the food was good ! The garlic knots could have used more butter, but good! The Greek salad was ok ! The wings were very good ! The pepperoni pizza and white pizza where very good ! The best thing !!! Delivery out back by the fire pit! Made for a relaxing evening !

This place has a great atmosphere, they even have live music on Fridays! The staff is really great, our waitress checked on us enough so that it wasn’t annoying and she always seemed present when we needed something.
The pizza is good but not fantastic and its pretty doughy. They have s great selection of beers and they’re pretty cheap! I also saw they have s full bar.
Worth checking out!

Had this pizza the first night we were here, and it was AWESOME!!! I love it and I’ll have it again and again every time I’m back.

Cozy & eclectic pizzeria with delicious food! Everything was perfect. Pizza, Stromboli, calzone, salads, house dressing… all perfection. Service was excellent!

Wish I could give a review but we showed up at 8 pm on Saturday July 4^th and they decided to close early. I guess we will never know if it’s good.

Have eaten here probably 10 times since moving to Pagosa. Long story short, one of their employees padded the tip for a $ 22 bill by $ 30. We never tip poorly. Had originally tipped $ 5 on this bill, this employee decided that he would rather get $ 35 tip for his lazy and poor service, totaling our bill at $ 57 bucks.
To make things worse I tried to ask the owner why this happened and she lied to my face saying it was global merchant processing. I could understand a double charge, but I’m no moron, and that’s how she mad me feel, like some kind of idiot. I left without embarrassing her in front of the entire restaurant and took it up with my card service. I got the difference back, but they have not responded to the claim in over 4 weeks.
So on top of her employee blatantly stealing from us, she went on to lie instead of simply offering me a refund and apologizing for the mishap. The way it seems is that she knew but did not care. There are more pizza places in town with friendly employees that I’m sure would appreciate the business.

Best Pizza ever n Pagosa, some of the most mediocre service in Pagosa.
For prices, The specials are descent, but if you stray from them you will pay a lot. 3 – 6 is the best time to go.
For service, You’ll end up waiting a while for your food and you will need to specify and clarify what you want or need.

Good service and great food! The live music made us a great night. I liked the prices and the cozy place. Definitely, we will come back to this place.

To be honest, we don’t go to pizza places where you order off the menu very often. With ravenous teenagers, pizza buffets seem to be the order of the day. On our last day of skiing, we wanted to get something other than the fast food we’ve been eating, so we went to DSP.
It’s small, but feels cozy. Service is good and friendly. The pizzas are priced very fairly. We got a meater pizza and added onions and a slice of cheese for our picky daughter. The 18″ pizza was bigger than expected and fed 3 of us easily, one being my always-​hungry 18 year old son. The toppings had real good flavor, much more so than the stuff you get from the national chains. Not only that, but the toppings were plentiful also. The onions were thinly shaved on the pizza and were great. My daughter’s slice came off of a 26″ (!) pizza and was more than enough for her.
We also shared some garlic knots/​bread which was fabulous. Definitely a place I’d visit again if we come back!

Came in for happy hour and to grab some pizza on a Thursday afternoon. Friendly service and great drink specials. Had the BBQ chicken pizza which was top notch.

Very friendly staff! Food was good, but generally it can be known to be slow-​ish on the food. It’s great to come here if you have the time though. They offer single slices as well if you want something fast!
