I used to get my haircut by Bruce in Pacifica by Devils slide. After his passing, I didn’t wanna cut my hair anymore and just wanted it to grow out. It got to the point where I was eating my hair lol. Heard great reviews about this place. I thought I’d give it a try. Everything came out the way I wanted. The cut wasn’t too short, the color was great. The owner is really nice and informative on the questions I asked. Will surly come back again and again.

Great value for the personalized service you get! I had to wait a while for my turn, but that was only because the owner spends a lot of time and effort to make sure your hair turns out fine. I am very pleased with my haircut and I’ll definitely come back again in the future!

The best haircut for the best price. For men, you can’t beat this place. I’ve gone to many barbers/hair salons in Pacifica, but none come close to the value. Every other place feels they’re trying to get you in-and-out as fast as possible while charging you more. The owner here really cares about the job she’s doing. Definitely try this place out!

This place is great. I’ve had my hair cut there 3 or 4 times now and it’s always incredibly well done. This is not one of those franchised places, this is an owner operated salon that provides a truly personal experience at a really reasonable price. So glad we’ve got her in Pacifica!

Greatest service ever! A week ago I cut my own hair and I messed it up. I was so eager for a professional but affordable new hair cut. And so I heard from a friend who lives around the area tell me about this Pacific Coast hair salon. At first I hesitated because I checked this out on Unilocal just like you whoever is reading my review, notice that it has negative comment. However I couldn’t resist their promotion price, so I decided to give it a try. It turned out I have a great hair cut! The lady was very patient and professional. She listened to what I wanted and tried her best to fix my flunked hair style. I was very happy when I left the salon and it is surely worth my mouth!

Pacific Coast is my hair saver! My hair is really damaged from the over bleaching that was done all these years, I was about to just cut them all off. But, I went to see Pacific Coast first for a hair consult. They gave me hope. They made suggestions and we decided we will give it a try. I must say that it is working. My hair is getting better, it is a work in progress but, I can already tell it will be saved! After numerous years in SF, I might just have found a salon finally to settle on, happily. I will be going back no doubt.

This is the WORST«salon» EVER!!! DONOTGOHERE! The only reason I gave this salon 1 star is because you have to give some sort of rating. I had just gotten married a couple months earlier and had been growing my hair out. It was past my waist, and I loved it, but I needed the ends trimmed. Being a hairstylist before I moved to California, I am not emotionally connected to my hair, I understand that it grows back. Normally, there are 2 things I never skimp on, Tattoos and Hair, because you have to wear them everyday. However, I live very close, and saw a sign that said $ 20 hair cuts. I figured, its just a trim, how bad could it be? A-VERY BAD! I walked in and they had just opened for business so it was very quiet. I asked if they were open yet, and the woman, owner I think, waved me in. She was very nice. I explained what I wanted, I had pictures, which was really not needed seeing as how I didn’t want any changes, no layers, and nothing fancy. Just 2″ off the ends. She seemed confused as I was explaining this to her, so I asked again, do you understand what I mean, as I pulled up another picture of myself from 4 months earlier so she could see exactly what I wanted. She said yes, I see and ushered me over to the sink to wash my hair. After the hair wash, we sat at one of the stations and she started wacking away. SHe never once faced me to the mirror therefore not letting me see the damage she was doing. However I could tell by the way she was elevating my hair that she was giving me additional layers. As she was cutting away, I asked, you know I don’t want to add any layers right? yes yes she says. I glanced at the ground to see many inches laying lifeless on the floor. Pretty soon she was done cutting and started blow drying(I had asked for a blow out and Style) with out using any kind of brush to straighten my stubborn waves. I then told her that My hair is very stubborn, so she sill need to use a straightening or round brush and probably some sort of straightening oil or product. She then says, yes yes and dumped a bunch of product on my hair and continued blow drying with out a brush. Finally she says, all finished, and turns me to the mirror. I fought back the gasp and said, you mean finished with the blow dry? My hair was incredibly uneven, with whimsical layers very blunt and shelve like instead of blended as it was when I came in. The layers were as high as my ear and not just wavy but started to curl with ringlets in random places. My hair in general was about 6 inches shorter than we had discussed. No, Im finished she stated. I told her that I would like her to blend the layers so it doesn’t look like a 3 year old cut it,(not in so many words). She said she didn’t think there was anything wrong. SHocked, I grabbed a random section and pointed out the fact that part of the section was about 5 inches long and the other was a good 6 inces longer. I pointed it to her her and she said, I don’t see what you mean? I asked if she felt like that was even, to which she said oh I see. This happened about 3 times before I asked her to stop cutting my hair because It was only getting worse, and more uneven. She then said maybe if I straighten it, it will look better. I told her she could try, since I had asked her to do that in the first place, but I didn’t think it would help. Long story short, when she was finished I looked like Linda from the wedding singer. I had actually debated contacting the Stated board of cosmetology because there is no way she could have passed a state board examination. I will never skimp on a hair cut again and urge everyone else not to either. I had to go the next day and spend more money to go fix it. $ 60 extra, 4 hours and 8″ later, I got my «trim» that I tried to save money on. Thank you to Judy Ann at Hair by the Sea for fixing this massacre!
