My friends and I went on a motorcycle ride to Santa Cruz, and one of them suggested that we end our trip with an ice cold beer at Devil’s Slide Taproom. Honestly I don’t know many places in Pacifica, so I was glad to start my explorations here! We sat at one of the many tables on the outdoor patio since it was a nice day, and the chill atmosphere could not have been more satisfying. While there are TVs inside to watch sports games, one can find some peace and quiet outside. There are tons of beers on tap, and naturally I ordered an IPA. Unfortunately I had not worked up an appetite to try the food here, but I definitely will next time. Great place!

This was my second time in the taproom and both experiences landed me with the same server and the same poor level of service. My mom and I came in several months ago and on a Saturday it wasn’t really that busy yet we waited a very long time to be greeted. Once we were acknowledged it was painfully obvious our waitress was not friendly. I found her behavior to be a little negative toward the other employees and shared that she wasn’t happy about not having the day off. Trying to be nice, I complimented her hair color as we have similar color hair, and she gave me a bizarre look and made a snarky comment. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was good. a little messy, but I thought it was good. We tried our best to ignore the rude server but it was hard. The second time I returned with my husband and some friends who bragged about the beers on tap. The beers were great, but once again we got the same rude server. I was hoping she was having a better day, but boy was I wrong. Not only did she avoid us when we flagged her, she was incredibly rude when we had to remind her for our drinks. She rolled her eyes and stormed away when I asked her for a side of ranch. Its a great place, less the service. No thank you.

Dropped in after an afternoon of whale watching along the coast at Pacifica. Got immediate seating despite it being«game night.» Great selection of beers on tap. The Faction Red Ale is a good complement to the house burger and garlic fries. The burger was cooked to perfection and was some quality beef. Service is good. Décor and ambience somewhat lacking but I’m sure that will be acquired over time.

Great place. We found it after cycling from Half Moon Bay to SF and stopped on the way back. Great selection of draft beer(hence the name). Good as great. Sweet Potato Kegs were awesome.

Try Belgian brews & custom vegan sandwich. Pacifica is the BMB-Diggity for #vegan vittles‼ Grab a veggie sandwich & add the #vegetarian Field Roast burger for just $ 3 extra charge. Field roast cost $ 3 at the grocery so that’s a great deal.

This place is fantastic. We have come here several times now and I can’t even make up a reason to take away a star. The beer list is extensive, featuring pilsners to stouts to sours and everything in between. The beers are delicious and rotated often. The food has always exceeded expectations. Our servers have always been knowledgeable and helpful. Things to try: potato chips, the pickle brined chicken sandwich, and as many different beers as you can responsibly handle before taking a cab home.

5 stars at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, genuine, and love beer. They create a chill vibe and make it easy to feel like a regulars. We really appreciate Shane, one of the owners, because he makes a point to say hi and invite us to events. By the way, it seems like every Friday night they are doing something cool with local breweries.

I wanted so badly to like this place but was so put off by the service I can never go back. It was a sunny, beautiful day and because the outdoor patio at Puerto 27 was packed, I Unilocaled around and came across the Taproom. Loving beers, outdoor seating, and veggie burgers, I was excited to give this place a try. Bonus that we got a table outdoors… or so we thought. We sat down and waited… and waited… and waited. The waitress never came to greet us. She went to the table behind us, next to us and diagonally from us. Never to us. At one point when checking in on the table next to us, she made eye contact with us. Yet looked away quickly and never came over. She cleared the other tables’ dishes, refilled their waters, brought them the check. We just sat there. And after the table next to us was bussed and a new couple immediately sat, she greeted them and took their orders within three minutes. I was keeping time by now. Ok, maybe this wasn’t her section to serve? But we had a corner table and all the tables around us were serviced but ours. That would be weird sectioning if one table was its own section. Ok, so it wasn’t that. Well, maybe it’s age discrimination because we are young? Nope, the table diagonal to us was our age. Maybe she is just busy? Ok, but that doesn’t explain her taking new customers’ orders immediately, checking up on others, yet not even acknowledging us at all. I have never once pulled the race card, but for the first time in my life, process of elimination brought me to this possible conclusion as to why we were so obviously and blatantly ignored. I can’t think of anything else other than the fact that here was a table with a Chinese girl and an Arab guy — the only two people of color in the entire establishment aside from the host. I am hoping this wasn’t the reason why we weren’t served by this waitress but I can’t think of anything else. It was so clear we were ignored and had been waiting for so long that the host actually got the attention of a server inside and asked her to come help us(we saw her talk to him and point to us to ensure she got the right table). This server was pleasant and though we wanted to leave by the time she arrived, we stayed because we were starving and it was a matter of principle at that point! In any case, this left a really bad taste in our mouths and I’ve never felt like this before. Never again. What a pity.

Had dinner here on a Saturday night with a group of 10. The place was fairly empty, so getting seated was easy. Unfortunately, service and food were awful. Our server wasn’t very pleasant, and it took much too long to get beer and wine. Why? It’s not like you were making a cocktail, and it certainly wasn’t busy. We asked for waters, and when they were brought out, the busser handed us a tray with the glasses on it and asked us to pass them down the table. Huh? Never seen that before. My husband ordered soup as a starter,(after the server sold him on how great it was.) About 20 minutes later she told him they were out, he ordered the chili instead. It came out with the food, which had she told him was going to happen, he wouldn’t have ordered it. Food came out with big gaps, no reason or explanation for it. We(attempted) to share the pork sliders, took a few bites and didn’t eat the rest. The pork had no flavor. SO disappointing. We shared a burger that we sent back,(our friend sent hers back as well) both were WAY over cooked. When it came back, it was still over cooked, but we gave up at that point. Medium was not going to happen. Ordered fries extra crispy, and those were good. Although, it was tough to flag someone down to get(we had requested it when we ordered) ketchup and mayo. All in all, this unsatisfying, unpleasant meal took over 2 hours! Getting the check and getting it picked up and returned also took way too long. I rarely write long reviews anymore, but was so disappointed with our experience here, I had to.

We stopped in for dinner Saturday night and really enjoyed it. The service and beer were excellent and the food was pretty delicious. DH had a blue cheese burger with garlic fries and I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and regular fries. The bar was filled with people eating and watching the games and it has a casual, fun neighborhood feel. The beer is definitely the winner and they have a huge menu($ 6-$ 7 a glass.) Hubby liked his burger and I liked my pulled pork, but the garlic fries were better than both the entrees. Definitely spend the extra $ 2 for them. I left my big spongy bun(maybe do sliders on soft pull-aparts instead? just a suggestion) on the plate, as I wasn’t a fan of it, but I really liked those spicy pickles they put on the side — yummy. We’ll be back.

This place hit the spot! My Sunday out couldn’t of gotten any better. Football — Check, Great Beer — Check, Amazing food — Check. Let’s not forget great company! We started with the buffalo wings, they were fresh, tangy, not spicy at all and full of flavor. I did notice the table next to us ordered the wing sauce on the side, not sure why… it was awesome. It also comes with carrots and celery and a side of blue cheese dip. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich«Cheddar and Monterey jack cheese on texas toast» w/a side of the Tap room potato chips, Holy! The chips were to die for. Crunchy and just plain BOMB, the ketchup is homemade(I am not a huge ketchup person) and taste perfect! I ordered a lager from 21st amendment(don’t remember what it was) and it went well with my meal. Can’t wait to go back!!! The customer service was also pleasurable, the waitresses were very attentive. I will be coming back!

Once again the BEST’EST burger on the coast, ramped up a notch. The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger is now the standard others are measure by. Any singular element might be matched by other places but Devil’s Slide Taproom has it all. And served by Missy who was attentive to my needs for eating part of the plate here, and taking the other part to go. Combined the service and burger with two great drink, The Julian Cider and Mad River Vanilla Stout, and you have a spot that is second to none on the coast.

I definitely recommend sitting outside on the patio. Great casual find if you’re trying to get it in with your lady. She’ll order a cider and then you can drink real beer. MAN! This place has an excellent beer selection. Mother Earth Cali Creamin Nitro is one you should definitely try. The cuisine is solid bar food for sure. I had a caprese salad before the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato tots… I’d order this again! My girlfriend ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. The flavor was on point(if you like classic buffalo sauce). The chicken was far too big for the roll and was extremely messy. You’re going to want to eat this thing with the bread though, as it’s smeared with a nice pesto.

Great Beer selection– on tap and Bottles. Some odd ones too– hints of coconut or lime or grapefruit. I like the Porters. If you aren’t sure you can have a sample size. Lots of food choices not mere pub grub. Veggie choices. Potato Leek Soup. Happy Hour starts at 3… What are ya waiting for?

It was burger day and I wanted a burger after my workout. Headed down and got a seat at the bar. Altamont had a tap takeover so their beers were $ 5. Sweet! I wanted to taste one but she wouldn’t give me a taste since the beer was on special. Huh? i said it was lame and asked for her recommendation which was a good one. My burger arrived. Wanted it medium. It was practically raw. The fries were awesome but I sent the whole plate back even though I was starving. Next burger shows up and she says they think it’s over. Why yes it was. And the fries were thinner, not nearly as crisp. I was too hungry to wait for another burger so I ate it. Super disappointing food night. Good news is the customer service during the burger fiasco was great. At first, she offered to buy my beer. Then she comped the whole meal. I give her credit for that. After my other food experiences here, I won’t go back for food. I will go back for beer if I am in the neighborhood but not for a special trip. Shame. Damn!

4.5 stars. A glorious Sunday in Pacifica, and my wife and I are itching for a local non-divey spot that has a great selection of beer. The Taproom was it! With 32 craft beers on tap(many local) served by knowledgeable bartenders(or is it Tap-pullers?) we were very impressed with not only the selection but the quality of the beers. We also had their Pickle-brined Chicken Sandwich(excellent and so very different), their Cole-slaw(excellent) and their fantastic super-tasty Taproom burger(done medium and on a fresh brioche bun) and their sweet potato«tots» served with their very different homemade ketchup. Maybe lunch for $ 49(without tip) was a bit high for a great sandwich, burger with the up-charge on the sweet potato tots, and three beers, but we were pleased with the food quality and bar service that made it worth it – and also the atmosphere is really clean, open and casual, not fussy. Seating was quick at the bar. The service was good but maybe a bit on the leisurely side for the food to show up. The only(-.5 star) negative was the front«welcoming» service – which didn’t make us feel very welcome. Even a compliment about how good everything was to her was met with off-putting attitude and not much else – like pride in the restaurant, which she was representing. We get that it was busy but there was a missed opportunity to greet new customers with a sense of «you’re going to experience a great place.» That aside, we were highly impressed otherwise and will definitely return for other beers and the other choices on the menu. p. s. They even have their own cool T-shirts.

Great variety of beers… I go because it’s a newer, cleaner place with lots of tv’s for the Warriors game. Service is alright. Servers are warm and friendly. What I think can use a bit improvement is the food. Not sold on most of the menu. Lots of improvement here on that. I do love their sweet potato kegs! They are like sweet potato tots! If you’re going for beers that aren’t from colossal big name brands then you’re at a solid place. I believe they have at least like 30+ beers and they add in new ones here and there. They also now offer flights! So if you want to try a few then you should stop by! For as new as it is it seems to keep fairly packed on the regular. That’s usually a good sign.

Before I ventured over to this new spot, I did my due diligence. I reviewed multiple Unilocal reviews and noticed a trend of complimentary and rave reviews about the burgers. So, of course, I get there and order a burger. I should’ve known the burger would be a disappointment when the bubbly, attentive, and friendly waitress didn’t ask me how I’d like the burger cooked. .. But, I didn’t suspect disappointment was coming, so when the burger came overdone(and without the bacon I had ordered), albeit with a nice char, I was a bit sad. But, this place still has a lot going for it, despite the disappointing burgers. For example, the House Made Potato Chips were solid deep-fried goodness. The tangy housemade ketchup was a delightful accompaniment to the extra crispy garlic fries. And, I’d be remiss to not mention the amazing selection of beers on tap! I’ll be back, and maybe I’ll be impressed with something else enough to bump up my rating and be «a fan.»
