Despite the rather off-putting attitudes of the employees, I do like this café. Of all the coastal spots, this is my favorite. It may be the most run down, but that is part of its’ charm — it is after all on a fishing pier.

never having solicited this place before, i politely asked for an americano and asked what sizes they had. the lady condescendingly says it doesn’t matter what size, i can put however many shots you want. i don’t think she understood that i wanted to know what sizes they had so i could determine how many shots i wanted. it’s just how i like my coffee and anyway it was simple question. whatever, it didn’t even matter how i wanted it cuz she was such a snotty b. eff this crappy dump and their amazing service.

very dirty in front. tons of cigarette butts and general trash line the steps. owners should be responsible for their store front.

This place is located right at the beginning of the pier in Pacifica and the closest café over there, so it’s a convenient place to go to if you want to grab something to drink and eat. They have loaves of cake and coffee. I didn’t get to order their carrot and walnut bread even though it looked delicious, but I did order a hot chocolate. I didn’t expect the hot chocolate to be fancy and it really wasn’t, but it was decent. It had whip cream on top. It was expensive even though I ordered a small size, which reminds me – heads up, minimum purchase of $ 5 if you’re using a credit card.

Hey I see a lot of good written reviews but for some reason those reviewers only gave the place 4 stars. I see no reason to short the café a star. It is a local place not your Starbucks chain. The workers here will greet you nicely and if you come often enough they will remember your name and your regular order. It will get crowded on days with nice weather-the café is on the pier and you can get your cup o joe and walk and enjoy the view. So relax and if your order takes a little longer than the usual just enjoy the scenery. There are hot and cold food options and bunch of different hand crafted espresso drinks on the menu.

This review is only for my one purchase: a large coffee, French Dark Roast. This little place is located conveniently adjacent to the Pacifica Pier, so it’s an ideal place to gather large groups before a picturesque hike. It’s a cool little place with windows facing the crashing waves. Full offering of quality fast food breakfast items. As to the Dark French Roast coffee is was mighty good: both dark and deeply smoky. BBQ: they have a large gas powered BBQ grill right in front of the building; and my friend said they grill up a very good spicy hot sausage. Served with a hot dog bun and your choice of topping. Cool! Customer service: good. I would come here again.

I think a lot of people confuse the two chit chat café’s, this one is on the Pier. The service here is always always so much nicer than the one up on Manor, believe me, the workers have been here since forever and always have been polite to customers. I think a local homeless man is offered to help move the BBQ grill outside from time to time for either food or maybe even a lil cash, not sure but I’m happy to see them help in one small way or another. We come here very often, with the pup since they allow it here, and she loves the treats. We always order coffee with our usual egg, bacon, cheese, cream cheese and avocado bagel. And when we are feeling extra bad, we get a super irresistible chocolate old fashioned donut(delivered fresh from Mazzettis). Stop by for a hazelnut latte to-go and head down the Pier or walk down the seawall paths on a nice day. Or sit inside during the high tide and possibly catch someone get drenched by a huge wave. My one missing star? This place desperately needs a facelift on the inside. I am here so often that I’m almost tempted to offer a free paint job.

LOVETHISPLACE! It’s warm and cozy. Service is pretty decent. The ocean view is out of this world. I visit Pacifica often and I must say, Chit Chat has one of the best ocean views in town. Oh, yeah, the food is also terrific.

This was a great place that I have stumbled upon while looking for a nearby café. Definitely worth the detour! The view from the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. The workers were very welcoming and laid back. Enjoyed every bite of my egg, ham, and cheese bagel with a good cup of fresh coffee.

Best view for coffee in Pacifica. People watch on the weekends. They do a BBQ every weekend too. Food isn’t mind blowing but the place is quaint and convenient. Duck in here on a blustery day and warm yourself with a hot cup or take it outside on a mild day and watch the abundant marine life that Pacifica has been experiencing lately.

Super funky, bad coffee but on the weekends the grill is dang delicious and reasonably priced. Pretty much the only show in town at the pier so unless you bring a picnic, it’s your only choice. Limited indoor seating. Mostly bagels, sandwiches, coffee drinks, chips and pre-wrapped baked goods. The BBQ on the patio does burgers, dogs, hot links, a huge steak sandwich and veggie burgers(grilled next to the regular so beware if you are sacrilegious about your veggie fare).

Went there for a coffee on my way to fish and I asked for a medium coffee and a large cup. One of the staff whispered to the cashier«charge him for a large cup.» I believe she should tell me it’s their policy just to charge for cup size. Anyway I felt they were pretty rude and a sneaky so I never tried their coffee. I’m giving one star for attitude since attitude is everything

Great café to grab an iced coffee as you go fishing or snaring for crabs. Super reasonable prices($ 2 for an iced coffee) and the best location you can ask for next to Pacifica. My go-to spot. The bathrooms are also right in the back.

Views, views and more views! Great friendly service and the latte I order was good as well. Prices are in line with most any other coffee establishment. Inside is dated, but has nice pictures on the walls dating back to the 50’s of the town.

A location with a view of the Pacific Ocean… especially during storms? JohnG and JenniferCP said I should check it out. So, it took a brunch invite to Salada Beach Café( ) — on a rainy day even — for me to pay this coffee shop a visit! The place is small but there are windows so you still have a view of the ocean. I’d say there are a dozen seats inside with a couple of outdoor seats facing Beach Blvd. The Pacifica Pier is right behind the café. Lots of residential parking around the area. They have the standard fares(snacks, warm drinks, knick-knacks, etc.) and prices are reasonable. — specials( ) — Beach Blvd, a one-way street that leads to the café( ) — view to the back and left( ) — view to the right( )

Despite having a natural monopoly for all pier goers, their prices are only a little higher than usual, unless your usual coffee place is Philz. They also sell bait should you have forgotten yours or you’re too scared to ask fellow fishermen. On the weekends I believe they sell burgers and sandwiches on a grill outside(but pay inside first)

I think the Chit Chat Café is a pretty interesting place. First of all, it is a great location at the base of the Pacifica pier, which on a nice day is a really great location. Unless nice day when it’s cold and foggy, it’s also great location because you can dock inside and grab a hot coffee or hot chocolate. Then, once you warm up a bit you can walk along the beach or out on the pier. Now, the décor isn’t that amazing, but that’s not really what you are coming here for. It does however, have this sort of antique ambience. The drinks and food are pretty good. My wife and I both had a chai latte, and they were delicious and perfect for the seaside setting. We also had a small piece of crumb cake, which seemed a little offputting at the beginning because the crumb topping was extremely densely packed. However, once we dug into it we found it to be delectably crumbly and tasty. Overall, this is a pretty great place in a great location, and is worth stopping by.
