Woman at the counter insulted my child to another customer. Nice. Never going back there ever even though I have to drive a bit more to another toy store. She was rude even prior to insulting my 4 year old. Not helpful. Lame selection. Chain store that tries to disguise itself as something else. Overpriced as well.
Star toys in Brentwood is amazing, as is toy crazy. They aren’t cheap either, but at least the staff won’t be snippy when your 4 year old tries to touch a toy! Imagine that.
(I have to say there is a gentleman that works at this place that is the sweetest and very helpful, so I’m sorry that this nasty woman reflects poorly on the store. We will miss seeing you).

this place is great for very young kids but not for older kids like ten and up but very cute store with music trinkets and stuff to buy here

This place really makes you feel unwelcome. So bad, I had to make a Unilocal account. I went in to get some gifts for my students, but the lady working would not stop talking on the phone. For over five minutes, I kindly waited and had to listen to her gossip about people and talk about how good her dinner was last night. Really terrible!

It’s a hole-​in-​the-​wall toy shop with a lot of the standard «hard to find» (but not really, unless you only shop at toys ‘r’ us) stuff, like calico critters. We were there looking for puzzles because it showed up on googlemaps as a puzzle zoo location, but they basically have kiddo-​friendly puzzles (not surprising, it’s a toy store, after all) and nothing for adults.
The saleswoman working the shop acted like she hated her job, or life, or both.
They’re re-​doing the floor at the back of the shop, and it’s all sticky/​exposed and gross. If it were me, I wouldn’t let my floor stay that way for more than a day or two… so maybe we caught them in that time frame, I dunno.
I can see how it could become a go-​to for people living in the immediate area, once you’ve established that they carry what you’re after… but it’s not something special that’s worth going out of your way for.

This is the kind of toy store even someone with no kids can linger in and remember their own childhood. There are modern toys like Star Wars lego kits there are classic toys like footballs and doll babies that kids still love. And adults love to «help» them play with.
Since it is a small store, the shop keeper is always near by should you have a question or need assistance. And despite it being a small store it has a great selection of toys from baby to older kids.
