I think Esther is very good and tries hard to please. Her work has always been excellent and it is so convenient to have a tailor right in the neighborhood. Her prices are very low for the high quality she provides. She runs a small business and sometimes has a hard time with organization, but only once have I experienced a delay problem. I have used her tailoring service for over 6 years and will continue to do so.

I have taken my things to Gary’s for over 10 years. Ester has always helped me. She is closed on Saturdays and open on Sundays. She moved recently to 860 Via de la Paz st. D5 on the third floor. There is easy under ground parking next to Toppings. She has tailored at least 60 items for our family over the years. She helps everyone at Boy Scouts get the patches on correctly and the St Matthew’s sports patches on the sweatshirts. She has found me buttons to match, replaced zippers that are broken and even done alterations on my long gowns for black tie events. She is wonderful to work with, and we are lucky to have her in the Palisades.

I came in and all i needed was a simple hem on my brand new jeans. I took them in and recevied them 2 days later and they were completly wrong and way to short now my $ 150 jeans are ruined. DONOTGOHERE

I believe in local business, but there are limits. I’ve used them twice, both times to replace a zipper on a pair of jeans. The first time, they lied. Didn’t replace the zipper, just put it back on its track — and CHARGED me as if they had replaced the zipper… Now, I will admit that when I went back to complain, they did indeed replace the zipper and didn’t charge me a second time. But I had to go back and complain. The second time I used them, it took them 20 minutes to find the pants. They tried to give me other ones, tried to tell me I didn’t remember what I had brought in. They only found them when they realized they hadn’t done the repairs yet, even though it was the day after they’d promised. No real apology, just a breezy«these things happen.» I am never coming back again.
