Love the outdoor café. Just the atmosphere alone is worth 5 stars. Had the Zuppa & salad. Fab

Overpriced as hell and the food was sad and disgustingggg. Like really just gross… Even found a little hair in the pathetic margherita pizza we ordered. The soup tasted like feet and the salad was the saddest thing I’ve ever seen. Don’t eat here it’s a joke.

The Café at the Getty Villa had pretty reasonable pricing on their menu options. It ranged from about $ 7 – 17 from appetizers to entrees. Most entrees are on average $ 14 per dish. I came here for lunch and had the Portobello Mushroom Caprese Sandwich for $ 14.95. The sandwich includes mozzarella, roma tomatoes, basil pesto aioli, and baby spinach. There were juicy slices of the portobello mushroom and went well with the light Italian salad side dish. My friend ordered the Villa Burger which was the same price but came with fries on the side. The burger looked huge! According to my friend, she said it was quite tasty since it had the crispy onions and truffle gouda. The fries were also not your normal fried fries. These fries were slightly infused with garlic and it was quite addicting to eat. Both options are solid choices so if you are visiting the Getty Villa make sure to grab a bite when you are there! There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but enjoying the meal outdoors in the sun was the most relaxing part of the visit.

When it comes to museums, park attractions, etc., I never thought I’d ever eat at location restaurant. It’s always over priced, and probably not that great. Coming to the Getty Villa on a Saturday changed that! I actually ate at the Café! I was with a large group and we had a table off to the side(where bigger parties sat). I waitress was absolutely wonderful and it seems she was the only one working the floor! She had to travel so far back and forth to the main area to serve us and other customers! :-/ When I opened the menu, I was excitedly shocked! Everything sounded so delicious! Oh and they change up the menu too! Here’s what I ate: BREWEDCOFFEE — $ 2.75 Your generic coffee… nothing much to say here. :) price was decent for restaurant/café, not over priced, yay. VILLABURGER — $ 14.95 Meyer Port Sherry Reduction, Aged Gruyère, Black Truffle Mushroom Aioli, Local Lettuce, Brioche, Served w/Red Pepper Ketchup Did I just read black truffle?! Oh and I just LOVE my burgers on brioche! This fancy burger was really good. Is not written, but this burger comes with a generous amount of skinny, crispy, yummy fries. I believe it’s about $ 1 more to make it truffle fries! Oh yeah! BRAISEDBEEFSHORTRIBSINCHIANTI — $ 18.95 Globe carrots, Brussels Sprouts, Crispy Kale, Goat Cheese Polenta. Oh my goodness I was excited! Everything about this dish sounded amazing… and it was! When the plate came out, and I ate it, and enjoyed it, I realized, wait… it like like I just had myself a fancy dinner! This is so good! The crispy kale was lovely, the Brussels sprouts wasn’t bitter, the braised beef was super tender and full flavor and the goat cheese polenta was creamy and rich! Perfection was this dish! His place was a game changer for me! It’s like I went on a lovely date that includes a lovely museum location. Ok for those of you who are looking for a nice fancy date, come here! Sure it’s during the day but that’s when the Villa is gorgeous! And with all that had, the piece was not bad at all. Sure it’s not in some lovely decorated restaurant with a romantic mood going(it did feel like you were at a museum restaurant), but the food for the piece was decent, and you get to walk off all that rich food you had around the villa! I had a lovely day, could you tell? ;)

We have eaten here each time we are at the Getty Villa. This place has a fairly small menu but the food is excellent. You place your order and a server brings you your food. I had the burger with gruyère cheese with a truffle oil mayonnaise. The hubs had a chicken wrap Mediterranean style with feta and greens. The garlic fries were good, too! Just make sure you both eat them. Lol. They offer a nice but small selection of beer and wine. Food came out really quick and our server was courteous. The lady that took our order was professional, proficient and sweet. Right before we left we got an espresso at the outdoor kiosk. The young man working was courteous and our espresso came out fast even though he was the only one working. I look forward to coming back!

The café is a great place to eat after exploring through the Getty Villa. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and my boyfriend got a burger with a side of regular fries instead of garlic fries. I enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs because the overall taste was on the lighter side compared to other places I have tried. The sauce wasn’t too overpowering to the point that it felt heavy to eat. My boyfriend, on the other hand, said that the burger was one of the best burgers he has ever had! Aside from the food, the seating is nice because it overlooks the the entrance of the Getty Villa which is beautiful, especially if it is a sunny day.

Came here for lunch when I was at the Getty Villa. I ordered the Greek chicken wrap and my date ordered the penne with boar ragu(?). The Greek chicken wrap was pretty big – flavorful with avocado and different spices, and it came with either a salad or chips. I ordered the salad which had liberal dressing and was pretty good! My date really enjoyed his pasta which came with broccolini and a piece of garlic bread. The food was really good, and there were lots of tables inside and outside. Pricing was a little steep but that’s typical for museum food. Good food and good service and a great view!

Way over priced for what we got. Ordered the pizza. it was like frozen crust with sloppy soup and cheese on top. The edges were burnt and the middle was so soggy it stuck to the plate. Ordered a side of two meatballs. I guess there were two for $ 4.95, they were so small it was hard to find them in the sauce. A real disappointment. We had planned on eating outside the villa but ran out of time so figured we could just eat there. Won’t make that mistake again.

Two classes of chilled red wine Pepperoni & sausage pizza House salad Total = $ 47ish The price we paid and the amount/quality of food that we got, it was overly priced. The food was decent there was nothing so amazing about the dishes for being that pricey. Given, it’s not much of a surprised. So it was expected to be that expensive. The pizza wasn’t even properly cut… we had to cut it ourselves with a butter knife and the«precut» pieces were even pizza slices anymore! Wine: I prefer my red wines room temp. Salad: basic salad lightly dressed.

The café at the Getty Villa is a good reflection of the Villa itself for it is integrated into the architecture of the museum and is a peaceful and relaxing place. Like the Villa it has indoor and outdoor seating options. While there is a touch of Mediterranean food in the menu, most people seemed to be consuming pizzas(maybe of Neopolitan style) and chicken wraps, which I am sure was not a favorite of Julius C. I had a Peroni and a Mediterrean platter which was quite good. Prices are reasonable for a California tourist attraction.

Definitely a must when you visit the Getty Villa! The food is delicious and the portion sizes are great! I got the Margherita Pizza and my boyfriend got the Greek Chicken Wrap. The pizza had FRESH mozzarella on top, which I loved. And the Greek Chicken Wrap was very tasty. The prices were reasonable, $ 11 for the pizza and $ 13 for the wrap. It sure did fill us up!

This is a decent choice if you’re in the Getty Villa already. Not too expensive, but delicious. I had a sausage pizza that was just big enough for me. My sister had a pasta that was delicious, and we had a delicious strawberry tart to share for dessert. A charming option, especially if it’s nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.

It doesn’t matter how many times I have been to the Getty, I always want to go back and see what art exhibition is new and to just relax and unwind. It brings me calmness when I’m here and just looking at art for hours it makes me love life just a little bit more. This restaurant which I would say is more like a nicer cafeteria than what we had when we were in high school. It is located on the Getty property. Right in front of each station there is a little paper held by a stand that has what they serve. You have choices and a variety of different cultural foods. If your feeling like eating something Mexican which I did I got steak tacos and a steak quesadilla. Both were pretty alright but I don’t come here for the food it was more because I got a little hungry while walking around. It gets cooked pretty fast and pretty much you just pay at the cash register and sit down where ever you feel like it.

One of the best museum restaurants I’ve ever eaten in. I had Baked Rigatoni with Oxtail Ragu, with ricotta and broccolini. I also mistakenly ordered a side salad, which was a meal in itself. The rigatoni would’ve been plenty, but both were nice to have.

For museum café, the Getty café is creating some top quality dishes. I went with the seared king salmon and it was above average for café food. Light and refreshing and not oily with whipped potatoes and sauteed vegetables.

It’s an order-at-the-counter place which delivers the food to your table a-la-Panera style. The selections are pretty basic: soup, salad, burger, pizza, wrap, pasta, etc. It’s very similar to most amusement parks cafes although I was quite surprised by the good quality of the food here. Prices are high, which is expected in these places: A burger is $ 13.95, spaghetti and meatballs costs $ 10.95, and a beef brisket entrée will set you back $ 16.95. Sodas are $ 2.95. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. What we ordered: Soup and Salad Combo($ 10.50): The soup was split pea and cauliflower purée which was a very rich and smooth blender soup. It was served very hot and was really yummy! The salad was a nice blend of exotic greens(see picture) which were fresh and tasty. It was tossed in a slightly sweet and fruity vinaigrette which was delicious. Pepperoni and Italian Sausage Pizza($ 11.95): It was a small personal size pizza with a crispy thin crust. I really liked the crust as it was thin enough that you can almost fold it, and crispy when you bite into it. It was loaded with a lot of pepperoni but only just a little bit of minced sausage pieces(see picture). The sauce was ok, good but not great. Overall, the food was better than I had expected, and it is not a bad place to grab a quick lunch or just a snack while you are at the Getty Villa.
