We were very happy to find Metro and its smart, nice, articulate owner, Hassan, a few years ago and signed them up for several big jobs — the first one was around $ 5,000 and we could have gone on to over $ 10,000 on our two buildings. But we found that he would not take care of punch list-​type things, as did our neighbors, leaving us to do some aerial work on our cornice on our own. He used a sub-​contractor to do 35′ of sidewalk who was obviously not clued into our specs and did a very unprofessional job. THe sidewalk is now showing major spalling and the peripheral sealant is largely gone. THey applied it all wrong (right after cement poured; thin). We paid extra for a particular color tint, but the sub just eyeballed it and got it wrong. Metro has never come by or responded to our very polite questions or requests since.
Hasan also told me he was raising his prices a lot because the value of Brooklyn buildings has increased so much. Not what you want to hear as you fork over thousands of dollars a day to a contractor…
