Maurice A. Fitzgerald Playground is a good playground where I’ve ventured here as a toddler to preteen in my youth years. This NYC outdoor playground is equipped with basketball courts, children swings, handball courts; spray showers; and non working water foundations yet with working facilities. There were an abundant of adult swings in the 1980s, but unfortunately these have been eradicated for the an increase of basketball and hand ball courts in the 1990s. Benches are available, but not a gargantuan quantity. After school hours is this park’s peak time usage. N.B. Parents be vigilant as this park resides on Atlantic Avenue(the sister version of Queens Boulevard–«Boulevard of Death»). I would not recommend dogs to take their walk at Maurice A. Fitzgerald Playground for the nonexistent natural grass and no trees. It’s a playground, not a park.
