We ate at this tea room yesterday. There was no problem being seated even at the busy lunch time – no other guests were there, and a sign indicated we should seat ourselves. Service was prompt and the menu was standard tea room fare – we all decided upon the trio plate, which was choice of soup or salad, ½ chicken salad sandwich, and a slice of quiche. With the exception of the chicken salad sandwich, which was served on ½ croissant roll, the portions were very small – think 1 «wide slice of quiche,½ cup of soup, very small salad. The salad was crisp and fresh and the loaded baked potato soup was very tasty. However, the quiche was very dry with an extremely thick, doughy crust. The chicken salad had an odd, strong flavor. The peach tea had no peach or tea flavor whatsoever. When our server learned that we were disappointed with the meal, she did offer complementary dessert, but we declined. The owner then came out to apologize, and again offered a dessert. We did learn that the chicken salad was made with dried sugar-free honey, greek yogurt, and dried cranberries and that the quiche crust had been modified due to another customer not liking the original crust. Bottom line, the ladies who were running the tea room were very nice and friendy – the food left much to be desired.
