Sands Cafe & Catering

I went here with my family and the food was average small town food, but I found the prices higher then they should be for a place like this. I would give this a 3 star review for average food at prices that were not small town but it is a one star because of my checkout experience. I had a coupon for buy one get one free breakfast. When I went to pay a different waitress not out took my one year old’s single egg and orb piece sausage (two things off the sides menu) off instead of an adult meal. I thought this customer service was extremely poor and led to some faulty advertising m. When I said I won’t come back I was run down when leaving offered 6 dollars and then supposedly they would take off the adult meal. I said don’t worry about it and walked out. This is one of those scenarios where it is not the few dollars but more the principal of it. Now let’s God over the food. I ordered an omelette which was average with home fries potatoes that were stuck to hash browns, these had little flavor and the presentation showed a grill that must not be very clean. My toast was ok normal toast and omelette was ok nothing great. My wife got biscuits and gravy which she said was good, this item was the only thing that the portion was good for the price. The rest of the food was ok not great. You are better off at Village inn for breakfast in Ozark. Please not it is cash only here no credit card. The food would not make me come back, but it was ok. The server who checked me out will keep me away and warrant me telling many to stay away. This may have been a place with excellent service and our service was efficient, but I think they are not very friendly to people who are not regulars.

Great atmosphere and service!!! All of our breakfast meals were awesome. I especially enjoyed the loaded hash browns. Will stop back for sure on trips to the Branson area.

I dont come in as much as id like to they have great food and fast service even when busy.

Pork tenderloin sandwich was great! It is a larger than the bun tasty treat! Crispy fried on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Seasoned just right. Served with the usual garden offerings of lettuce leaf, tomato slice and dill pickles. Big enough to share!

My husband and I had breakfast there as we were traveling back to St. Louis. Everything we had was so tasty and home-​cooked. We had gravy & biscuits, eggs, sausage, & ham. We both thought our food was excellent. The wait staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient, even though the restaurant was packed. When in Ozark, we will definitely eat there again. Don’t forget to take cash.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Best café in the Ozarks! Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. Their Gyro’s and meatloaf are destination worthy. The only downside to Sand’s is they are cash only. Which is probably a good thing, if they took credit cards, I would probably eat there everyday.

Good comfort food; I especially enjoyed the ham and eggs.
