We Love their gluten free pizza & my husband loves their hand tossed pizza. It’s our go to GF pizza place. Super reasonable prices & great staff!

I was craving pizza the other night, but my wife didn’t want the usual frozen or take and bake. After a quick Google search I discovered Hook & Ladder Pizza Co. I read a few reviews, looked at their menu, and decided to give them a shot. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. I ordered pickup as delivery is not available. I drove the 15 minutes to pick up our pizzas, paid, and drove home. I got inside, opened up the pizza boxes… And discovered we were missing several ingredients on one of the pizzas! I immediately called them and explained what I found. After listening to me explain everything, the girl who answered asked me if I wanted to speak to a manager. Um, yes? The manager gets on after a minute and asks what happened. I explain that I’m missing several ingredients and she tells me that they just forgot to give me the extra box with the ingredients. Um obviously they forgot something! Then she tells me that I can drive back to the store to pick up my missing ingredients and she will give me a «discount» on my order. So I had to drive from my house to the pizza place TWICE just to get my complete order, and what do I get for my hassle? A partial refund on my order. How generous of the manager. Unfortunately due to the combination of the mistake made by the employees, and the inadequate response to said mistake, we will not be returning to Hook & Ladder Pizza Co. If they treat all of their customers this way after their own mistakes, I wish them luck.

Extremely friendly staff. Toppings on the pizza are great and the crust is probably the best I’ve ever had.

Amazing pizza and excellent service. We have been to the location in Hollister many times and was happy to hear they opened a location in Ozark. The staff is so friendly. They make you feel like family. I definitely recommend!

Sat down here a couple of days back with my parents for an afternoon lunch and the place was pretty busy. That being said, the owner took the time to come meet us because he knew he had never seen our faces there before. This went a really long way with my dad and I found the small talk appealing as well. Super friendly staff, great garlic cheese breadsticks, and the pizza is fresh and of the highest quality. We will definitely be returning!(Also I don’t have children but they have a little section back in the corner where kids can try on firefighter gear and sit in fire truck seats, a fun educational experience!)

Great food and great service. We went for a office lunch and they took great care of us. I’d recommend it for both the service and the food.

Nice place, they need to work on their service a bit though. Pizza was nothing special in my opinion. This is still a newer place so maybe things will get better with time.

Same quality as the H&L in Hollister but in a much newer and larger establishment. The breadsticks are my favorite. I tried them with cheese and they re good but the classic is the best. The full order is six which is good for about two people. We spiced it up and got subs rather than pizza which were delicious. The bread was the perfect balance of firm/crunchy exterior with the the fluffy interior and came with chips. Our service was great too and you’ve got to love the firefighters theme.

Wonderful experience! Great pizza, good crust, good red sauce. Service is average, salad and bread sticks. Would come back for more pizza and to try sandwiches. Probably best pizza in Ozark.

Well it seem I must have come in on an off night or I purchased the wrong thing. I decided to try hook and ladder on a whim while trying to figure something out for dinner one night. Without calling ahead to order I showed up and placed an order for an Italian sub, a supreme pizza sub, and some toasted ravioli. Disappointed can sum up my experience. The frozen toasted ravioli were flavorless and my Italian sub was lacking something I can’t quite put my finger on. I also tried my wife’s pizza sub and one bite was enough. The food was sub par in my opinion, the service seemed a bit slow and it just wasn’t my thing. Take it with a grain of salt because I did take my order home.

Actually is a really nice pizza place for a smaller town like Ozark. I travel a lot so it’s hard to beat The Mellow Mushroom for sit down pizza, but this place comes pretty close on the pizza side. Crust was good and the Taco Pizza was different. Was it great different? Hard to say, but it was very tasty and had different ingredients than I’m use to for this kind of pizza. Must say, I wish the menu was a little larger as it is pretty limited on what you can get for your pizza or something besides pizza. I’m sure as business picks up, more items will come to the menu. Fun little place for kids also as it has an area to try on the firemen’s gear. I would recommend to all.

Our family were headed back home to Kansas from Branson, Mo and spotted this restaurant on Unilocal. We are glad we found it! The whole restaurant is firefighter themed with a small play area for kids to even dress up as a firefighter! The pizza was homemade and tasted great! We also had garlic cheese breadsticks and side salads! The best part was the service! Everyone was very, very friendly and the owner even showed my kids the restaurants fire truck and let them spray water from the water house! They loved it! I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some great pizza that is NOT a chain!

If you want pizza in Ozark, this is the place to go! An improvement on the original located in Hollister as far as ambiance, along with the same great pizza. We had a half supreme half sausage(for the kids) and we ate it so fast that I didn’t get a picture. We also got a peek at the veggie pizza on a neighboring table — it was beautiful! You can taste the freshness, and even if you couldn’t, you can watch them tossing dough in a window at the rear of the dining area. The owner came by our table and when my husband complimented the crust, he said that is is a family recipe. The server, who was incredibly friendly(kicking myself for not remembering her name), talked us into chocolate chip ice cream pie. Turns out that’s a family recipe too, and is not to miss. The rice crispy crust might seem odd at first, but you will love it. We also heard a rumor that other flavors of ice cream pie may be appearing soon. The dining area is a large, open space with firehouse themed décor. It’s not overdone, but it has interesting touches like fire fighter helmet pendant lamps and hose ports for faucets in the bathroom. The staff is dressed in turnout gear too. When we were finishing up, my son wanted to go see what the flashing light in the far corner of the restaurant was, and then he never came back. We went over and found him dressed in full turnout gear! They have a fun kids’ dress up/play area. There are also two private room areas, so it would be a great place for a group.

We were excited for a new place in town after reading good reviews about the location in Hollister. The restaurant is beautiful with a great kids area and large enough to handle any size party, with party rooms available. The menu has a nice variety of pizzas with 5 – 6 appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pasta options and calzones. I did not take pictures of all items ordered, but will review them. The beverage options were coke products with very large size cups that were great because they did not need constant refills. The breadsticks were hot and fresh with good flavor, the sauce dipping cup was a bit small with a full order so may want to try to get a second sauce container. The breadsticks were very tasty warm with a nice garlic butter on them and the dipping sauce was a delicious pizza sauce I just would of liked a bit more sauce on the side. The mozzarella sticks were the low point of my meal, they gave a nice portion, but found the breading a bit too thick, this is the only thing I would not get next time. We tried a few different things and the calzone was without ricotta, but excellent cheese inside with a good crisp crust, there was also a bit of sauce inside which made for a delicious filling, I will definitely get calzone again and found this to be one of the best calzone options in southwest Missouri. The pizza was nice size we got a large specialty meat lovers and a medium pepperoni and the specialty was full with a large amount of toppings and they were able to accommodate a deviation on the order with no problems. The pepperoni pizza was delicious with excellent cheese, a sweet sauce and a good amount of tasty crispy pepperoni. The pizza was not greasy which is rare with pepperoni and was enjoyed by all of us at the table. The overall experience was 5 stars and a great restaurant that my family will enjoy coming too with reasonable prices. I am posting a picture of the Togo menu so you have an idea of prices and offerings. We are happy to have a great pizza place in Ozark, far superior to the other options around.
