Buckingham BBQ

Not a bad spot for a quick lunch. Food was okay. Nothing spectacular. Service was great!

The music was obnoxious and WAY TOO loud. Don’t get me wrong, I love the blues, but the electric guitar, for the length of time caused all of us to have an upset stomach. The waitress told us they get complaints all the time, but they can’t tun it down or they will get fired. I would probably have given 3.5 stars if it weren’t for having to stand in the front waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes before someone finally came and the music. Food was okay, nothing compared to the other BBQ places in Springfield. I won’t come back due to the music though.

I’ve tried most of the Buckinghams in the area and this is by far the worst I’ve given them several tries and have not been happy the fries are always cold and soggy the brisket dry tough an edible the burgers are just as bad as the brisket. Most of the other have excellent food this must be a management problem

Went here twice last week. The first time, I had the pulled pork sandwich with the smoked mac and cheese and the second time, I had the loaded baked potato. Both meals were good and I ate every bite. Of the two meals, the pulled pork sandwich was the best-​the meat was flavorful, tender, and the portion size was good. The mac and cheese did not have a lot of taste to it and the loaded baked potato was not very loaded for the price they charge-​but it was good. Both meals took a long time to get served and after they took the order it was like I became non-​existent to the wait staff, even though the place was not crowded, until they brought me my food, and then I became non-​existent again until it was time to pay the bill. Their lack of attention may be because I was eating alone and singles have a reputation of not tippling but their lack of attention reduced their tip both times. The other issue was they did not offer a senior discount. Not a big BBQ person, so I will probably go back!

Decent lunch. Went here on recommendation of someone in branson who said it was his favorite BBQ restaurant. No wait. Prompt service. Had Carolina pork sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fries looked greasy but they were tasty. Good baked beans. Good selection of craft beers. Enjoyed the blues music.

I did a call in order about a week ago and still on the fence if I will go back. The food was expensive for what I got nothing but vegetables and a baked potato almost $ 25.00 and the portions were small very small. When I called in and mentioned there were no prices on the website menus the person said they couldnt put them on there because of food costs changing all the time. So you don’t know what your going to pay to they tell you when you go to pay. Also did not offer a senior discount which most places do. So zombie prices small portions and no senior discount. Will probably stick with rib crib next time

Okay, I tried this place last week and my initial impression walking in the door was positive. It was well decorated and not too much echo. My compliments end there. My recommendation is this: Do not eat at this establishment. The food preparation was mediocre. All the reviews about dry, over cooked ribs are true. Our server apologized more than three time for separate problems– that’s a major disqualifier for me. Server splattered food on table and bench seat and nearly got it on my wife. Did not return to clean it aNd made no effort to take more care next time. I had the chicken wings and although the sauce was good the chicken was way too dry. Don’t waste your money you will not be happy when you leave.

Service ok. Tried the two mats and both the pork and beef were extremely dry so much that the beef was not really touched. Had the flavor of a smoked then sat in a warmer all day. Wings were very tasty, but again came out in a minute leading me to believe they are just sitting back there.
I recommend the baked potato as it was very tasty. Smoked Mac and cheese no real flavor to it. More of a lets try something different place in ozark for us. If it was a little better, would maybe come back more. Wanted the new to wear off before we tried to give them the best possible review, but was a little disappointed.

Probably one of the nicest BBQ joints I have been in: great ambience and «feel» We were there on a slow Saturday for lunch; in fact, the whole experience was slow. We were seated immediately and then allowed plenty of time to soak in that ambience. The gals working were trying hard, but very inefficient– probably just not trained properly. The dead giveaway is when the wait help comes through the room doing a little fake run– the room isn’t big and open enough to run, so the only thing achieved is exhaustion and annoyed customers. We listened to apologies the entire time we were there. Food arrived finally and… you guessed it; cold. The sandwich I had was more like a roast beef than BBQ– it looked like yesterday’s fare that had been re-​heated a few times… but not this time, of course! Price wise it is going to run you over 10 bucks a person if you have a drink. And then there’s the tip. This is a really nice place but I will probably go elsewhere next time. I recommend carry out to save money and avoid «overloading» the wait staff.
