In the mood for above average seafood in a casual and friendly atmosphere? This is your place. Went with a group of 4 adults and a 6 year-old. Super friendly and attentive waitress. Food came promptly and portions were generous .A large plate of very good fried calamari appetizer for $ 16.95 could easily be shared by 3 – 4. Raw clams and oysters $ 1 each. Large number of seafood and Mexican choices as well as steak and a children’s menu. Parking can be an issue as it is only on the street but spots can be found on the other side of the road.

Thinking back to this meal makes me nauseous I ordered a lobster roll and it came out on a moldy roll, their solution to the problem was to serve another roll on the side I’m not one to send food back so I didn’t. I honestly wouldn’t ever eat here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I stopped here with my husband this evening. We always pass out on the way home from the beach. This is going to be our regular stop on the way home from now on. Friendly wait staff, excellent clams and oysters. They also had live music didn’t catch his name, he was great!

Little place that I have been passing by for years. Went for lunch with a friend one afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised. We received a warm welcome from the staff and the service counted to be friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Clams, calamari, wings, burger and shrimp were all good. We didn’t have any let downs at all. Prices were similar to other seafood joints on Long Island. Oh and beer was served in a frosty mug!

When a place has a 2.5 average rating you should take it into consideration. Went here with the family. It had a little outdoor area and it was a nice night so it sounded like a good option. First off, the wait staff was attentive and nice. The live music which was a guy on guitar was good also. The food however, was hit-or-miss. We started with steamed clams. They have a half-pot on the menu but the waitress tells us that they only do full pots. Because, well, for no good reason of course. We get them and they’re the clams that are not the best. Unless you like a lot of grit, falling apart, and some mushy when they shouldn’t be type clams, then don’t get them. Got a grilled-cheese and fries for my son. It must have had a whole stick of butter on it because the bread was dripping with butter. Not good. He ate the crusts and left the soggy mess in the middle. Wife had a lobster roll which was good. I had soft-shell crabs and they were very tasty. Then the bill came and this seafood shack experience which was just ok cost us over $ 100 for 3. Cash only and we couldn’t keep the check(can we say revenue undercount?) Really outrageous. As we drove away I felt robbed really. What a waste.

Great service and very fresh seafood. Just wish it’s a little cleaner and less flies around.

A definitely hidden gem. Yes they are on a main rd but if you don’t know they are there you will pass them by. The have lunch specials that come with soup. I would try it… BECAREFUL crossing that street please!

We stopped at this place with my daughter on the way home after visiting my brother. We ordered the broiled seafood platter and it wasn’t good and luckily I do not eat that much because if my husband was there it would not have filled him up. The artichoke wasn’t bad. But overall the food was overpriced and small portions. The service was load and crude and they acted like they were selling hot dogs on Delancy street in NYC. The owner George seemed to be a long Island wanna be goodfella. Wouldn’t go back.

My husband and I wanted to check our this place last year and didn’t get a chance to until today. Before we pulled up I quickly looked at Unilocal reviews and was freaked out that it got a 2.5 star rating. Since we already parked and as always I’m hungry so we decided why not try it. We got the fish taco — the sauce was good and the fish was a little on the charcoal side but it was edible. The stuffed artichoke with lobster was good. The sauce was very good. We got the new England clan chowder which wasn’t creamy but it wasn’t bad. It came in a tiny cup. They seem to serve Mexican food and seafood. The service I would give 4.5 stars. They were awesome. Very attentive and so pleasant. I bought my baby who is the pickest eater known to man. The waitress gave him a tiny bowl of pasta to let him try, free of charge. I appreciate good service and because of that I would come back to try the other stuff.

My sister and I have been coming here for the last two seasons ever since she moved close by. It is our go to spot for dinner. We are not really regulars(maybe go 3 times a season) but we are treated as such. The wait staff and owners remember what we like to drink and what we usually order. I love that I don’t have to worry about what I’m wearing and I think the prices are comparable to other seafood items I’ve ordered from other restuarants in the area. They also have advertised specials i.e.a bucket of steamers-$ 15.95 on Tuesdays, When we ordered steamers we got a very, very generous portion of large, sweet, melt in your mouth bivalves. The fish tacos are made with very fresh, grilled fish, and lettuce, tomatoes in a soft, warm tortilla. You could actually tasted the chunks of fresh white meat(sorry I forgot the type of fish) Thankfully, they were NOT the usual overly breaded, fried fillets topped with gallons of some greasy sauce. The fried belly clams are just as good as the ones I’ve gotten in the fish shacks on Cape Cod. The raw oysters, and 3 varieties of clams are always impeccably fresh and glistening with nectar and the bright smell of the sea. Last nite we decided to eat something healthier along with our fries and clams and ordered a plate of lightly sautéed, fresh, mixed veggies-brocoli, cauliflower and carrots that were done perfectly. I admit that we tend to order the same limited items; it’s because they are always consistently really good. I take my reviews seriously. I’ve worked as a caterer and second chef in the past and feel confident in recommending this cutely decorated, casual and friendly neighborhood joint.

DONOTEATTHECONCHFRITTERS! Disgusting. They should take it off the menu or they should be ashamed to be serving these! Was not impressed with any of the food. I’m giving it a 1star because they won’t let me out no stars! BIGDISAPPOINTMENT !! Do not eat here

I passed this place on the way home from the beach a million times and always said I would stop in for some clams or oysters. Well tonight was the night! The place is adorable and the owner shucked our dozen fresh oysters right there at the bar. Delicious and huge and $ 2 per oyster. So good!

We sailed into Oyster Bay Harbor last weekend… Wandered about town for a while and decided to «go for a walk to that little place we’ve seen» on a previous occasion when we drove here… 20 minute walk from the marina with my prettier half and sister in tow… We sat down and ordered a dozen raw oysters and a dozen raw clams… Damn… Amazing! The best I’ve had in years… Not to mention the ONLY place(with the exception of Louie’s in Port Washington) that actually serves fresh oysters from OYSTER. Bay. Go figure — who’d have ‘thunk’ it? We are planning on making a weekly thing of it… Also, server was awesome… Can’t remember her name(YOUWITHTHEREDHAIR(You know who you are)) you’re the bee’s knees — Awesome place. Can’t wait to go back

Came here with Roy & Lana & friends before and after the Oyster Festival. Before was drinks. Afterwards was to get food. Service was good even though our waiter had no clue what a Cosmopolitan was after Lana ordered it. But she got it because the bartender knew what it was. Food was good. Drinks were good. I had my glass of Riesling(they had Relax — even more awesome!!) It was nice and quiet in the restaurant. I’m sorry for only 3 pictures I was starving! We also ordered steamers, fried calamari, and something else? I think. I don’t remember. The star of the show in my opinion is that artichoke. OoooO is it good! Not too stuffed but just right. Cooked perfectly and enough«meat» on the leaves for consumption. Might I also add that since it was cooked perfectly the heart of the ‘choke was good too. I’d come back just for the Artichoke & a glass or two of wine. Heads up! This place is CASHONLY!

Dropped in one day to pick up a takeout menu. When I pulled one from the counter about 6 roaches scurried out. Nope… no thanks. Can’t tell you about the quality of the food because I’d never eat here.

While hunting for an apartment in oyster bay and getting hungry, we stopped into a nice little place right on route 106 for a bite to eat and I freely admit, I am a sucker for fresh oysters and clams. As a rule, whenever we try a new place, we always order many things from the appetizer menu to get a feel for the overall quality of food. We were encouraged to try the stuffed artichoke and we thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the calamari. We also tried the various fresh oysters and clams that they served and loved them as well. We were told that this was the first winter that they decided to stay open and we found the place the kind that you could relax and let your hair down. The service was good and the drinks were as well. Overall, we enjoyed this place and will try it again soon

This used to be a fun place to stop… One day stuffed artichokes came out and tasted luke warm and verrry off tasting — so much so I couldn’t eat another bite. — obviously not fresh… the waitress hesitated and wouldn’t send them back. without the owner coming out… slowly looking them over… reaching for a leave. tasting… hehe true… and begrudgingly taking back. So funny… the food was great before that and especially the stuffed artichokes. I just couldn’t see the Spanish Inquisition as part of my next dining experience. if I say it goes back… it goes back. :) At least here on Long Island or in New York… hehe.

I can’t believe I was actually bummed out when a few years ago the prices in what was once a affordable and tasty local seafood restaurant went through the roof. I was no longer able to go this über-casual ‘ramshackle on purpose’ local spot. Well I’m not bummed anymore. My husband and I decided-what the hell, let’s just go for lunch. It’s been forever and lunch is sure to cost less than dinner… right? For all I know the prices might skyrocket upon sunset but lunch was still pretty pricey. Never mind, you need to treat yourself once in awhile and I was really looking forward to a fresh seafood salad with a light but imaginative dressing that was sure to compliment the wonderful flavors of the fresh seafood promised. How depressing is it when the best thing you can say about a seafood salad is that the lettuce was crisp. I swear, if you closed your eyes you would not have known whether you were eating the frozen calamari or the frozen scallops. The shrimp tasted somewhat like shrimp but the crab meat looked suspiciously like the rubber ball I saw on sale for my dog at Petco. And the dressing! Yuck! the best I can say about this mayonnaisey lemony concoction was that at least it was served on the side so I wasn’t forced to eat it… did I say Yuck?! My husband got a gigundo burrito .so big that he cut it in half and will get second meal out of it. This time though I’ll make sure it’s heated all the way through ’cause they sure as hell didn’t. Now if we were the kind of folks that got to eat out a lot then this would’ve been nothing more than a disappointing blip and we would’ve just chalked it up to a poor restaurant choice. BUTNO… we do not eat out all that much so when we do go somewhere we want it to be an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Given the over the top prices for what is really just a little, underwhelming local clam bar I am beyond angry at the below par(no way is this fresh) seafood and the above par(are you kidding me with these?) prices. Don’t waste your time or your money. You’d do just as well to go to Trader Joe’s where at least you know you’re buying frozen.
