This is my favorite library. My children loves it. Nice and clean. Staff is always friendly. The reason I gave it 4 stars only because I had a small issue with them. I’ve returned the books, but they didn’t checked the out from my profile. Well, I came back and claimed the books as returned and they just fixed their records and didn’t charge me a cent. I recommend when you return books, don’t just drop them there in the box, but get a receipt. At least you will have a proof. Also, they have free Wi-Fi over there. Not the fastest one, but acceptable.

This library is so awesome! The librarians, especially the children’s ones are so helpful and friendly. It’s a nice size, plenty of chill space, movies, and of course books! It’s my favorite place in the entire city! Oh and they have free wifi! Whoop Whoop!

The Oxon Hill branch of the PG County library system is a surprising large building with a great variety of books and audio and video items.(I don’t know if this is the main branch of the system, but it’s definitely more along the lines of the central libraries of the Alexandria and Arlington systems, much larger than any of the branch libraries in those systems.) Two of the building’s four wings house most of the fiction and non-fiction offerings; one wing houses the Sojourner Truth Room, which holds the large African American Research Collection; and the fourth wing houses a few conference rooms. A bright, airy atrium occupies the central hub of the building. Throughout, you’ll also find numerous reading desks and tables and many computers available for use. And one of my favorite parts — despite the computers, on which I assume you can find standard computerized listings of available books and such — is that several card catalogs still reside, and are well-used, around the building. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. It’s not the quietest of libraries, but I believe this is a function of the construction methods(low ceilings, lots of glass to reflect sound, etc.) rather than people talking more here than at other libraries.
