I’ve been seeing Dr Deitel for nearly a year and always have a pleasant experience with him. He and his staff are polite and courteous. Generally, I don’t have to wait long at all; however, like any business there are occasional delays and complicated cases that have prolonged wait times. The comfortable atmosphere, thoroughness, and overall high quality make every visit pleasant and encouraged me to bring my wife to him for her back pain. Great doctor!

The people and doctors may be nice, but the wait times are ridiculous. I have been here over an hour past my scheduled appointment time and still haven’t seen the doctor. You WILL wait a ridiculous amount of time EVERY single time. A horrible way to treat patients. The Ventura office is the same way.

I’ve been a patient at Ventura Orthopedics many times. Starting with Dr. Islak at the Oxnard office I saw him for my hand. His visit was very brief. In and out and I needed surgery. After he was again brief and not social at all. I personally felt very rushed. Next was Dr. Turk in Thousand Oaks location. After being brought in the docs room I waited maybe 45 – 1 hour to see the doctor. He finally told me that since he could not perform surgery and therefore would not see me. He referred me to his colleague Dr. dietel in the Oxnard office. Dr. dietel being a special me specialist was confused as to why I was being referred to him for a hip injury but wasn’t surprised since Dr. Turk has done this in the past with the approach that if he isn’t doing surgery he won’t help. After Dr. dietel who was very nice seeing me, he concluded that he needed to send me to another hip specialist since he does spine and my cortisone injections weren’t helping. After seeing 3 doctors and now finally a 4^th I’m fed up. I’m being passed from doctor to doctor while my condition is getting worse not to mention having to wait over an hour in the docs office each time I want to see them and waiting on new referrals from insurance every time they pass my along to another doctor. Will not be using Ventura Ortho again.

Good doctors, been happy overall with Dr. Deitel. Did a good job on my surgery, but it can be difficult to get a hold of someone in his office in a short time frame as he works out of multiple offices throughout the week.
I fault the understaffed and overworked medical infrastructure of this country.
Additionally, 1 star for front office staff. They are rude, and act as though their actions are above reproach. Try smiling or even using the common niceties such as «please» and «thank you».
You work in a professional setting, the least you can do is act like a sincere professional. Nearly everyone that comes in here is in pain, have some compassion and try to be aware of how you speak to people and how it could be interpreted.

Ventura Orthopedics Physical Therapy at 2100 Solar Dr suite 105 is a great place to go for post surgery/​post injury therapy. The staff is knowledge and keeps the patients best interests at the forefront of all procedures.
