Small farmers market in the middle of The Collection. We went for dinner at Kabuki and walked over to check it out. I exfoliated my lips, had some samples of some peanuts, hummus and some assorted berries. There was some strawberries from Nipomo what was the best strawberries I’ve ever had and I live in Oxnard! I wanted a freezer monkey but it was too cold so I’ll have to wait until it gets hot. I left with those berries. Yum!

I have been here twice. There are a few good booths. The vegetables are sometimes good. The soap just OK. The fruit is a different story. It appears that none of the vendors are farmers. Some of them are extremely expensive(e.g. peaches and plums over-ripe and bruised and a dollar for one item). The popsicles are outstanding. Some berries are over-ripe and contain sand(probably gathered after harvesting). The strawberries are commercial grade. I doubt if anything is organic. I probably won’t go back.

Good food vendors, great fresh bread vendors, 2 flower vendors, and only one organic table, and a fresh seafood stand. Yum! I would have loved to have seen a better selection of organic(or more«no pesticides») fruits and veggies, and even eggs from pastured hens since we do have a couple different farms that have them in the county. New market with room to grow!
