Great food, hand made tortillas are the bomb. Just had a breakfast burrito last week as well. Ask for sour cream in your breakfast burrito and it will not disappoint. It is extra for sour cream but business is business. People need to stop complaining, this place is the bomb compared to other places in town. Clean, polite people, what more do you need. 5STARS

My experience made me feel like this place is not bad but it’s not a standout either… Average thus the 3 stars. I ordered the yuevos rancheros– that’s my goto breakfast dish… This one lacked flavor. I felt like they tried to put more cheese than usual to cover up the bland taste. A normal positive is that it came with homemade tortillas– this is the first time I really didn’t care for them. The texture was off/they were very dry. One positive is their salsa was flavorful and on point. Beyond that not much reason for me to come back.

Meh. The first time I went I had a carne asada burrito. The meat didn’t have much flavor and the rice was dry. The second time I had the milanesa torta. The torta was soggy and the meat was so thin it seemed as though I was eating fried batter. For the price I paid I think I’d rather go somewhere else.

Small space in strip mall. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Fresh corn tortillas are made on the premises. Food was very good for this type of establishment. Nothing fancy, but solid food.

After going here a few times and trying different things… HORRIBLE. Asada meat was dry and flavorless. Chicken was dry and the last time was burnt. One star goes for their salsa bar. However, beware they have stale chips.

God was very good bs the front desk server was excellent. I had the special and it was very good. Glad I took a chance. The salsa bar was very good and the heat levels on each were perfect. Tons of flavor in them all Food was amazing and the pork bellies in a roja sauce was sublime. I would handily order again.

We tried their Carne Asada fries which were pretty good. It was around $ 8/$ 9 for an order but the order did come out enough to fill two people! It came with sour cream and guacamole which is standard. I pretty much judge all Carne Asada fries based on how crispy and tasty their fries are. I think these were okay… I think this is the only place that serves Carne Asada fries in Ventura county so I may have to come back for that sheer fact but other than that, I wasn’t blown away.

I love it here. Whole in the wall and clean. I almost always get the soft tacos here bc they make their tortillas fresh in house. You can see them making them! Lengua, buche, pastor and asada are my favorites. Their lengua is super tender. A fresh salsa bar is also available. They have fresh pico de gallo, salsa verde, and spicier salsas, radishes, jalapeños etc. They also feature different specials daily. I try to come on weekend days when they have the Birria(de res = beef. Or de chivo = goat.) So good. They have an outdoor seating area but beer is only allowed inside. I like this location better than the other Rose avenue one just bc it feels more quaint!

Best asada fries(not on their menu)!!The carnitas are super good too! The only thing that is a hit and miss sometimes are their beans and rice! But other than that I recommend!

Small quick-serve Mexican joint in a strip mall. BUT — this is the real deal. Menu is large, food is fresh(they make their own tortillas in-house — can’t be beat!), portions are large. If you are looking for a quick meal in the area, this place can’t be beat.

One star service and two star food miraculously able to put out four star tortillas. I’d like to think I’m a fairly easy going guy… I’m not the jerk who talks on my cell phone while ordering food, I make eye contact… I try to be pleasant… well after a long work day, I was on the hunt for some solid enchiladas and a cold beer… Mi Pueblo happens to be walking distance from home, so I figured«why not?» Sure I’d been here before and had unmemorable dishes and moved on… but I was neutral to the place I suppose. I walk up and ask the girl at the counter«how are your enchiladas?» «I’m not sure» she says with the facial expression of someone recently lobotomized. «Ok, well do you have green sauce with chicken?» «No.only red, see the menu?» hmmm… Ok, this chick is having a rough day… I’ll let it slide. «Ok, give me the camarones a la diabla with a Sol cerveza for here, please» «Well, city code permits state that you cannot take a beer to go and must drink it in the restaurant» she says. I chuckle…“So you mean I can’t take one for the road?”(smiling)…She proceeds to restate the city permit law. Jeez, give me a break!!! I sit down as far away from her as possible. Place was clean, with light traffic and the flat screen TV’s turned off(why have them, then?) My food came promptly… served by non other than Ms. Personality…“don’t touch your plate cuz it’s really hot” Uhhh… ok? «you’re kidding?» I ask… trying to take a jab by this point because she’s plain rude. «No, Im not kidding… watch out» HAHAAH! My God. Shrimp was far from fresh… the diabla sauce, while hot… lacked depth and the beans and rice could have come out of a Sun-Vista can… but that’s not possible, because canned beans taste better than whatever that mush was. I will say… the tortillas, phenomenal. pillow soft, fresh from the comal and served as a perfect way to hide the flavor of the food. I wish there was a 1.5 star… this place is deserving. I won’t be back, and you should think carefully before you try this joint. Happy eating…

I’ve been here quite a few times to know the food is enjoyable but the service at this location is not very friendly nor helpful. I have witnessed the workers be rude not just to me and my family but to other customers. Food=A./Service=C–

Had the carnitas torta, overall, the quality of the ingredients is what sets this place apart from other Mexican joints. The carnitas are soft and not overcooked lumps of hard fatty pork. I would put the torta price a bit on the higher end of the scale. For the price, I would hope it already came with extras like avocado and cream, but like I said, at least the bread/carnitas/veggies are of higher caliber.

Actually I learned from experience to avoid the carne asada burritos, they are still dry!!! However Fish Tacos are really good, and they are also price just right! You can sit here on a warm day, eat fish tacos and a corona with lime! Basically if you avoid the Carne asada you should love this place! Can’t say that I will come back, because I’m either in this location, or the other location one sunday a month! However compared to the other location, I take a star off because they do not have the mural, and also the location is horrible! so hard to make a left turn to turn into this shopping center!

I made this a stop on my Mexican food route up the 101. Being away from CA for 5 years, I miss any resemblance of quality Mexican food and selected this spot based on Unilocal reviews. Based on my only visit I say they have some good points and bad. Great to see fresh tortillas, I ordered extra for the road coupled with some salsa from the bar. The better tacos I had were the cabeza and abodabo with the tripe not far behind. Like the others the carne asada leaved much to be desired. Loved the fresh horchata and tamorindo drinks and the outdoor seating but it is a strip mall so yeah I guess it leaves something to be desired. The service is great and it will get busy around lunch time. I’d come through again for the abodabo.
