Manuel Ortiz, or as my family now calls him, Handy Manny, is the one-stop-shop for most all home repair and improvement needs. Manny and his assistant Luiz were hired by my husband and I to, install Spanish tiles between all the stairs in our home, inside and out, replacement lighting(inside and out) and outside painting. The work was done to perfection. My Spanish tiles and outside lighting are the envy of the neighborhood. — When our bathroom contractor had taken 3 weeks just to order tiles, we backed out of that contract and were left with a mess of a bathroom. Manny came in, and tiles and all, had the job completed in one week, including shower door and sink installations. And, to my surprise, Manny did not just install regular tiles, he installed beautiful marble tiles, at no extra charge(he has contacts in all areas of construction and materials). — If you need work done on your home, no job is too big or too small for Manuel Ortiz and his crew. The entire team is courteous and efficient and never overcharges. You won’t be disappointed.

Manny has the best customer service that ive encountered in a good while. The work that he has done for me is immaculate and still in excellent condition. Manny has not let me down once. he’s repaired my plumbing and tile any time I called upon him. He never fails to be there an i know because hes rushed over to help me in the middle of a subday night because he cares about his clients on a personal level. Every job he performs is great and always exceeds all my expectations. For a job big or small manny is there

Came to my home to fix a window with broken balances. When he arrived he said he wasn’t licensed to fix windows. That was fine with me but then he still had the guts to charge me $ 75 for the visit. My question is, if he wasn’t licensed to fix windows, why did he take the job over the phone? Answer: to make me pay for the visit. Not using this guy ever again. By the way, he also goes by handyman manny so don’t fall for the different name.

This guy is severely late, lies, does not answer calls, does not clean up his mess after the job and most importantly performs a half A$$ job. Look else where for quality service!

Called Mr. Ortiz and he said that he would have to come out and see the job in order to price it. That sounded reasonable, but his price didn’t. Although he said that it would take less than 1 hour and I already had 10′ of copper pipe – he only needed a couple of feet – he said it would cost $ 165. That seemed high for less than an hour’s work with material supplied. When I asked if that took into account that I had the pipe already, he said, Okay, $ 145. That still seemed high for such a short amount of time. He said that he was working nearby and I could call him anytime I had any questions. After he left, a question occurred to me and I called and left my name and number and asked him to please call me back. Mr. Ortiz never called. I was disappointed that Mr. Ortiz did not live up to his website.

He might be a handyman genius, but I’ll never know. I talked to him today before noon. To his credit, he immediately called back after I left my initial message. He said he’d be about an hour. Wow, great! At about 2 pm I called to see if he was still coming. He said he’d be here in 35 min. It’s 6 pm now and no word. It wasn’t urgent, so I let him pick the day and time. I am sure there are others who don’t like to be tethered to the house for a long afternoon for no reason.
