I’m not a fan of Chinese buffets and this was as typical as it gets. Came there on an invite to celebrare an event. They had a fair selection with lots of seafood items and even snow crab legs. The place seems dated and may need a renovation but I guess this wouldn’t matter to those who are into stuffing their faces. There was an oyster dish, not raw, that I was not able to eat as it kept on getting taken by others. However, it didn’t look too appetizing but had to try. It loooked halfway cooked and raw. Thank god I didn’t cuz 3 others in the group got sick. First time here so I’m not going to knock it too much but would not definitely return.

This buffet was update as if 2013 so any reviews before then do not apply which I didn’t know until my brother filled me inn. Being a buffet fanatic, my brothers & is travel from SB2 eat here. They have a great variety of Americanized Japanese & Chinese food. The price is great for what u Get. The service is great, they’re constantly cleaning, & refilling the buffet. Sushi is fare. Refills are free. There is self serve ice cream. So often buffets in the 805 are over priced & u have 2 pay for drinks with no refills. This is a great place to go with a large family. Setting is huge which his why there is no lines. & they don’t rush u out which often happens at other buffets

Absolutely dreadful. How is this place still open?! Reopen? Somebody call a health inspector. We went there before when it was super buffet and said we would give it another chance, that maybe it was remodeled or something. NOT. 28.00 on a tuesday dinner for 2 adults and a 3 yr old no military discount. but still the same busted up leather booths and cracked hazy water glasses and disgusting smelling front entryway. Lots of people milling around not refilling glasses asking if our food is ok or taking dirty plates until they bring the check. Good variety of food looks kept up and hot I’ll give it that. But the sushi looked kept up too… But after I saw the sushi guy wipe the counters in his area, then pick up his sushi, wipe the entire plate with same wet dish towel, put the sushi back on the same plate, and then turn around and start rolling more sushi, with his unwashed, dirty, dish cloth hands. NEVERAGAIN. I wonder what else is happening. No wonder people are getting sick!

I totally disagree with the negative reviews of Bluestar Buffet. Anytime I have family come over, I take them to Bluestar. Everyone I have taken there has always loved the food. Never a complaint. And I’v taken hudreds of people there. In fact when my daughter had her Baptism, and when my Unlce passed away(May 17, 2012), we held the receptions at Blue star, and everyone left Bluestar happy and content. There is so much variety of food, that I can understand that with too many options can make you sick. But you have to know your limits… Don’t eat too much!!! As in alcohol… too much food mixing can get you an upset stomache.

Cheap buffet but I wont be visiting again. Normally I can eat at least 3 plates but I had to stop midway through my second. I would say some of the food was average but it seemed like most of it just upset my stomach. I had eaten here a long time ago and my dad does eat here pretty regularly but he had stomach problems too. I also felt that the fruit bar looked kinda droopy and it also didn’t taste very well. Service was good and so was cleanliness but food was just too much. No thanks.

I am not discrediting all the previous reviews, but I recently(June 24, 2012) had a great experience at Bluestar Buffet. I’ll list them simply at the following: — Food is presentable, fresh(due to high volume of customers), hot, and very tasty. –Recommended items are: sweet and sour pork and chicken and sushi(especially for this price level of buffet). The sweet-mayonnaise walnut prawns were good as well. — Everything that was fried was at a good texture and not soggy — There was a buffet table attendant who went around to stir up the food constantly to ensure that all the sauce was always coated around the dish — Buffet area was clean, and very hot, which means the food was hot as well — The snow crab legs were terrible, so do not get those. No flavor and no texture. Very soggy. The rock crab was better, it was actually salted and flavored. — The waitress was constantly going around to clear our table of old plates — I did not get my drink refilled however — Price is very reasonable at $ 10.58 for dinner on Sunday I think they deserve a fair and thorough review, and this is it.

My family and I have been coming here for 4 years, last couple of times in we were a little disappointed but we came back. Today I don’t even want to pay the bill! The place was not busy but the condiments for the Mongolian Bar bar were almost empty and we had to ask for clean utensils to plate up our food as all of the tongs were contaminated by raw meat. Then when I asked for California rolls with no fish eggs the guy didn’t understand englis and would not get someone who did… I didn’t get my California rolls(one of the reasons we come here) the staff was standing around while my family and 2 others had dirty plates piled on their tables. Then we had to wait for the check. At the register we were not asked how the meal was, I proceded to tell them that we were not happy with the meal and the manager was called over. He gave excuses as to the service and offered us a discount the next time we came in. We WILLNOT be going back!

Every bite I took I spit back into my napkin. Disgusting!!! I do not know how this place stays in business. Absolutely horrible. I spent $ 7.25 to eat cucumbers. TERRIBLE!!! I get a stomach ache just driving by the place. This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. It is that bad. How do they sleep at night serving this dog crap.

I don’t like to give any business a 1 star in tough times. Ignoring previous reviews, 6 of us decided to try this place out. The smell when you walked in was there(as noted by a Unilocaler) and that should have been a bad sign. Wifey was violently ill all night and is still in bed at 11am the next day. I’m not happy about her being sick and don’t want others to have the same fate. The food was good, but not at this price we are paying now. Hope all is well, John

If I could do 0 stars I would. This place is horrible. The smell when you walk in is almost nauseating. The drawn butter for the crab legs is just oil. Food items are marked wrong. Most of the food looks unappitizing and tastes just about the same.
