I have never had a steak with less taste. Cheap cut of meat with no flavoring. Rice wasn’t cooked. Dessert tasted like it was thawed out at the beginning of my dinner. We were the ONLY people in the entire restaurant on a normally busy night in the rest of town. This place will not be open in 6 months.

After waiting 1.5 hours for our food, we were told by the nice waitress that they just finished with two 20-person dinners and had not even started cooking our food. We left and had McDonald’s. The owner walked by after an hour and said«no food yet?» After we said no, he just kept on walking… to sit at another table with a couple having dessert. He couldn’t have cared less. He was outside the entire time just a few tables away. He should not own a restaurant.

Our group of 10 arrived at 6 pm for our weekly dining adventure and departed after about 1 ¾ hours. Service was mostly acceptable for this many sharing a table. The buttered garlic French bread served while we waited was very good. The menu needs additional thought and flexibility — if you ordered fried shrimp the side was fried sweet potatoes, if the steak«special» you got mashed potatoes. Salad dressings were limited to ranch(overly tart) & vinegarette. I was surprised by the apparently inflexible choice of sides — especially considering pricing. The server somewhat reluctantly shared a scrap of paper that listed specials after one of our party informed him that he had discussed them with management earlier that same afternoon. I managed to suppress my laughter when our server placed my side dish of «Chef’s Pasta» in front of me. His description of the dish before ordering sounded appetizing but reality was FAR different. The somewhat overdone angel hair pasta was thoroughly mixed with a tasty but gelatinous Alfredo sauce and the approximately ½ cup serving was almost lost on a small clear salad plate. I was embarrassed for the server but everyone offered to share. I waited for a bread refill which finally arrived after the third request. Fortunately, I arrived with little appetite so I could view the whole experience with humor. My wife’s fried gulf shrimp were tasty but heavily breaded and well over-done(had to cut with a knife — another diner had the same comments). The accompanying sweet potato fries arrived about 15 minutes after the shrimp and needed additional seasoning. Our daughter’s fried green tomatoes looked good but the serving was far too skimpy to even suggest a taste(5 or 6THIN slices from a tomato that couldn’t have been larger than about 2 ½″ in diameter). A few cents worth of parsley could have indicated a least a suggestion that plating might contribute to an appetizing meal. Others in our group ordered steak specials, crab cakes or shrimp & grits, received generous portions and voiced no complaints.
