The Olé Miss Motel really exceeded every expectation I had for it. Cleanliness: 5⁄5 The rooms were super clean. We stayed in a remodeled room and it was spotless. Housekeeping did a great job refreshing the room each morning. One thing that really stood out to me was on Sunday morning I noticed the owner outside in the parking lot picking up trash left over from the night before. I had never seen this much care and attention to detail put into a motel/hotel before. Accommodations: 5⁄5 Our room was actually quite spacious and probably a fair bit larger than what you would get at many of the newer hotels. We got two queen beds and it was very comfortable for all three of us. The room also had a microwave and large sized mini fridge. Service: 5⁄5 The owner really went above and beyond to take care of our every need/request(we had a few). We checked in late and needed extra hangers. Dave, the owner, was kind enough to bring the extra hangers up to our room at midnight. He and his wife was genuinely interested in making sure we had the best stay possible and you can tell that he truly cares about his motel. Location: 5⁄5 This is the closest hotel/motel to the square that you can get. Not much else needs to be said for that. Even though our room was on the end closest to the road/sidewalk, we never had any issues with outside noise(could never hear anything outside our room actually). Price: 5⁄5 I’d feel pretty confident in saying that this is the least expensive motel/hotel in Oxford. Less than half the price of most of the hotels in town. Overall: 5⁄5 Closest motel/hotel to the square and least expensive place in town. This is truly a hidden gem in Oxford. It’s not a high end hotel but it is a very well kept comfortable place to stay. I will be staying here again when I come back for the 4th of July. I recommend The Olé Miss Motel without hesitation.

I only stayed there because I had no other choice in Oxford for the Texas vs Olé Miss football game. It was by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed. All of the furnishings(including wastebaskets) appeared to be cast-offs from other hotels/motels. I was told that I had a ‘renovated’ room — which was supposed to mean ‘new carpet’. Well, if the carpet was new it was possibly new to them and used for 10 years in another motel — as was the furniture. Our wastebasket had ‘Holiday Inn Express’ printed on the side and the two ancient soap bars were cast-offs from Best Western. The stairway to the 2nd level was almost totally rusted out and the walkway to the rooms was made of warped wooden planks. There was a dirty bath towel hanging on the bathroom door when we arrived — BADSIGN! There were no hand towels or tissues and only ½ roll of toilet paper. The mattress was about 5 inches thick and the sheets were as thin as handkerchiefs. And, they do not have daily maid service. The location isn’t bad since it is located close to the Square; someone in Oxford should re-develop the site into a decent hotel because there is certainly a shortage in the town. Sign hanging in office says it all — ‘NOREFUNDSAFTER10MINUTESINROOM’

The main draw of this place is that it’s near to the town square and comparatively cheap. The interior of the place is pretty worn out and it isn’t the cleanest place. I was around when this place was last«renovated» in the early 90’s for a movie and it hasn’t been worked on since. I’ve definitely stayed in worse places but not by much. I don’t spend anytime in a motel room when I’m in Oxford, other than to sleep, so none of the shortcomings really bother me. If you need a cheap place near the square this is your best option for a motel/hotel unless you have friends that live nearby. The motel is definitely a one star but the location and price raise it to three stars due to the very limited options available in Oxford.

First off, the negative reviews seem way over the top. My impression was that this a pretty classy place… except for my bathroom… which I’ll discuss later. The Olé Miss campus is beautiful, and it is great to have this hotel so conveniently located on campus near the football stadium. My room was large with 2 comfortable queen-sized beds. It had a large flatscreen TV with HD and over 100 channels, which is an unusual plus. The workout room was very impressive; it featured a large selection of modern exercise machines and weight training equipment. The only drawback was the bathroom. It was obviously remodeled with newer fixtures, but it was very tiny. The sink was the smallest I’ve ever seen – literally smaller than in an RV. The paint on the ceiling above the shower was cracked and peeling. Although clearly dated, they’ve made a conscientious effort to modernize everything in the hotel(except maybe the bathrooms). The price(app. $ 70.00 per night) was very reasonable given its convenient location. Historic Oxford is just a short walk away. I’d stay here again just to enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful southern campus.

OMG… where do i start… i came during a weekend when olé miss had a game and every hotel was booked… Olé Miss motel was the only one that had a room left… the room smelled like death, it felt like all the germs just jump all over me, the bath tub had blood in it and i dont mean a little blood… we went to th owner to get our money back. He was reluctant at first but after he went in the room he had a change of heart. He called the housekeeper and told her off but idk how she was going to clean anything she was high I will never ever ever go to this place… nothing was clean… worst experience EVER

I called and asked about rates. Was quoted the rate of $ 49.00 a night plus tax. I only needed one night and it was the cheapest thing I could find in town so I made a reservation. I was asked for a credit card number to secure the reservation. When I arrived, it took the lady 5 minutes to come to the window after ringing their bell for service. She handed me the check in card to fill out and I asked about the rate one more time. I was then told it was $ 59 a night plus tax. So I canceled my reservation. Now here is the part that really makes me angry. My credit card info was written on a white note pad that was sitting right in front of the window where everyone who comes in could see. I had called in 3 days earlier and it was still sitting on top. When I asked for that slip of paper the lady became agitated with me. I definitely would not trust this place with my info. The place looks like a sleezey road side motel and they are charging high $$$ for a dump. There were only maybe 3 cars in the parking lot.

Stayin here blows! The new owners have done a nice job with the place! They still have a lot of work to do but they have definitely improved it!
