Great food and owners could not be nicer; been there twice now and the good was outstanding

Wow! Wasn’t expecting a Chinese restaurant in Oxford, MS to wow me! I’ve lived in many places all around the world and this strip mall joint ranks among the top Chinese restaurants. Mapo tofu is outstanding, but if it is your first visit I highly recommend the double pan fried noodles. Probably the best thing I’ve eaten in Oxford(Ajax catfish is a strong competitor). Go support this family! So yummy!

Authentic and soooo good! Great customer service. Taro bubba tea was good and the phở soup. Would definitely recommend their dumplings!

Excellent service and quick meal time with half the tables filled. Two with big groups. I had the sweet and sour chicken lunch special … egg drop soup(excellent and hot), spring roll(excellent and fresh), chicken just cooked along with fried rice … excellent — seasoning, sauce and taste. A lot of food for $ 8.

This is best Chinese Restaurant I have been to. Every thing they serve is FRESH… and it is cooked to perfection. Love it… and the take out is a favorite too when needed.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Oxford. And to be honest, it’s not hard to win that title here, there’s more bad Chinese food than good here. We’ve been here twice and both times it was fantastic. The egg rolls are hand made, very fresh and peppery. The hot and sour wontons are also a nice starter. They do General Tso’s right with a light, crispy breading and a thick, dark sweet and spicy sauce. So good! Don’t miss the diced chicken with chili peppers. This is a complex dish with layers of spice, peppers, and citrus. I’ve never had anything like it and this dish alone is worth coming back for. Good service and nice folks there. Great prices. We lived in New York City and New England for the better part of two decades and this place rivals the best Chinese there.

The food at Ming’s Kitchen is delectable. It tastes like it is made fresh and comes out hot and crispy! I ordered the crab rangoon appetizer, and sesame chicken which came with fried rice, a spring roll, and wonton soup. Their portions were big, so I had tons of food left over to take home with me. The service was amazing– our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. I have been waiting for Oxford to get a quality Chinese restaurant like this. I’m so glad we finally have one! Everyone should eat at Ming’s Kitchen. I cant wait to go back and try more of their dishes!

At Chinese restaurants in California, I am used to paying about $ 8 and getting such a horrendous amount of food that it will last 3 meals. Ming’s clearly isn’t prescribing the same dosage of food here in Mississippi. Perhaps they are single-handedly trying to tackle the obesity epidemic. Anyway, the food is great. It is clearly made fresh. I had the wonton soup and it was very flavorful and the wontons tasted like they were made one minute before I bit into them. I like the General Chicken and Moo Shu Pork. All of their sauces, sweet and sour, duck, hoisin, are fresh and delightful. I recommend coming for lunch because it only costs about $ 8 and you get quite a bit of food. Otherwise it is pretty overpriced.

Came here on a Sunday evening for a quick meal following my Walmart grocery run. I was seated and waited on promptly, the waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered a hot and sour soup, it wasn’t terrible but I prefer mine to-go from Chow’s king. I also got the scallion pancake, which was burnt and didn’t come with any dipping sauce. I definitely would not order that. again. For entrée I ordered double pan fried noodles with shrimp, although it was a little bit too saucy for my taste, the flavor was there and I enjoyed it. Overall, service was great but mediocre food, maybe I’ll give it another run with some of the other interesting items I spotted on the menu. :)

Came back the other day to try the phở. Very disappointed. Noodles were not normal phở noodles — these were extremely thick and not suitable for this type of dish. I was only given a few bean sprouts, literally 1 sprig of mint, no basil… no lemon… no hoison sauce. Definitely not phở. Broth was okay though! The picture provided definitely looks better than it tasted. Other friends have come on different occasions and have agreed, this is not good phở. Perhaps we are picky since we are used to authentic home-cooked phở… Service that night was slow(there were 4 other parties there). I think our entire dinner took close to 1.5 hours, only 20 minutes of which was eating.

For a long time I have waited for a place to open that does it right. I’m a guy who sees Phở on the menu and jumps on it. I must say Ming’s does it right. Nothing artificial, all fresh. The broth is amazing, and if you have ever had good Phở, you know what I mean. The spring rolls are so crisp and fresh, and the fresh to order peanut butter sauce just brings it together. If you are looking for some Vietnamese classics look no further, Ming’s is where you want to go. The food is great the staff is friendly, guaranteed a good experience. Can’t wait to come back and try something else on their great menu.
