I thought the terrible service I had 6 months ago was just a fluke so I tried it again today for lunch. Not a fluke. Horrible service. Our pizza sat on our table for almost 10 minutes with NO plates or drinks. I finally had to go find my own plates. Pizza was average at best. I’m done with this place. «Macy» needs a new line of work.

This is my favorite place to get pizza and a beer. The calzones are great too. You will be hard pressed to find a bigger selection beers in town. They have a trivia night and they usually have live music outside. They have a bar section, a restaurant section and outdoor seating. They are located right off the interstate and close to most of the hotels so it is easy to get to for the out of town guests.

Service was excellent. Regan took care of us, he was patient with a party full of separate checks and allergies. He also tipped us off of hidden gems we should check out while in the area. Will definitely be back next time I am in town

Being lactose intolerant this vegan cheese pizza option is amazing. They definitely use the best vegan cheese and have great pizza toppings. Another great location and feel considering the town is slightly dead and kind of depressing. How can you go wrong with pizza anyways…

My husband and I eat there probably once a week. We get anything from calzones and salads to pizza or hoagies. Love love love the food. We have become regulars so when we bring the dogs they give them walk when we sit on the back patio. If I want to watch a specific football game on they are always cool about as long as other guests are fine with it. Great place, could be more cozy on the inside is all. Love the new outdoor TVs and fans and the dog friendly atmosphere.

We were staying at one of the hotels nearby and decided to walk to Mellow… my friend owns two of them and they are always great. However, it’s too bad she doesn’t own this one. We sat at a table in the bar and the bartender comes to the table… doesn’t say hi… welcome…just…what do y’all want to drink… we ordered cocktails… mine was horrible… sent it back… my husbands didn’t like his but kept it… our pizza was very good… would never go back because the service was absolutely horrible!

My family and I have not returned, although I would like to try again eventually. We had a bad experience with service, and it took a very long time for our pizza to come out, about 45 minutes actually. The pizza was ok, and it was not as hot as it should’ve been for just coming out of the oven.
Overall we were a little disappointed on our last visit. Personally, I think the Mellow Mushroom chain needs to come down on some of their prices. I am not cheap, and I’m willing to pay a good bit for a great meal. But for the quality of what you normally get here, it’s not worth the cost. I would be up for trying it again though, only because I am an absolute connoisseur of pizza.
Hopefully if you choose it for you next dinner you’ll have a better experience than we did!

Ate here last night after a long day on the road…
Fast, friendly service, great selection of both food and beer and good music playing.
Had the house special pizza and it was great. You could actually taste the various toppings. It was cooked just right and nothing seemed to over power anything else on the pizza.
I didn’t count the beer selections, but there had to be at least 35 or so, and the server even seemed to know a little something about the various beers, which I appreciate.
For a chain type pizza place, this has to rank amongst the best.

We had excellent service. I don’t remember his name, but the male waiter we had was the best waiter we’ve had while eating out in a long time. We had a Mediterranean pizza that was good, but didn’t think the tzatziki sauce did anything for the pizza. The mushroom soup was so full of flavor and tasted amazing. I love soft pretzels, so I was a little disappointed that they were pizza dough shaped like pretzel knots instead of real pretzel dough, but that was my only real flaw with the meal. The kids loved their kid’s meals too. I would definitely come back and try more of the menu!

Had the Thai Dye and it was easily the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Great selection of beers and crazy good pizza. I’ve eaten at a few Mello Mushrooms previously and have never had a bad experience. This one in Oxford AL sure lived up to my expectations. Fun atmosphere, perfect service and super food.

This is a great place to go for drinks. They have a large variety of beer to choose from and the cocktails are really good, too. I’ve had good and bad pizza here. The Holy Shiitake Pie is delicious! Most recently, we had hoagies. I ordered the Righteous Portobello Reuben and it was gooood!

We stopped by for dinner on an early Sunday night on our way back from Atlanta. We have eaten at many mellow mushroom restaurants in the past, so we had a good idea of what to expect. While the food wasn’t even close to good, it wasn’t even close to being as bad as the service.
Our server took 10 mins to bring only 2 of our 4 drinks, and then didn’t come back with the remaining ones for another 5. That can happen, I get it. But to bring a salad with soft croutons and 2 cold soups shouldn’t happen. To not check back to see how said soup and salad was, I couldn’t even get a replacement until he came back with our pizzas.
The pizzas weren’t as bad as the soup and salad, but they weren’t up to the expection set by other locations.
After all was said and done, we still spent 65 on a really bad meal. We will not be going back here again.
