Since making a few remodeling improvements it really is a great diner style restaurant. The fresh-cut french fries are to die for. Pancakes were really really good for breakfast. Check this place out when they have their car shows, a lot of fun.

Great food. Reasonable prices. Friendly wait staff. They don’t skimp on the bacon! We switched from going to any other breakfast restaurant in the Valley after our first visit to Fritz’.

I come to this place for breakfast every so often. The food is good, and the prices definitely beat out any similar places in the area. If you’re expecting fresh squeezed juice and organic vegetables just picked at the farm, stick with your yuppie brunch spot. The menu isn’t extensive, but it’s good. I’ve always had friendly, although sometimes slow, waitstaff. But I’ve never been served cold food and my meal is always exactly how I ask for it. If you want a delicious classic breakfast, it’s worth the wait.

Been here many times, love the local atmosphere. My kids enjoy it too. But I’d be happier if they tighten things up a bit. I ordered 2 poached eggs, hash, toast… Eggs were rock hard and had some shell in them., hash was burned and toast wasn’t the type of bread I ordered. The waitress didn’t write anything down and everyone at the table got something other than they ordered! Cmon folks. Let’s get it together.

We only tried Fritz’s a few months ago, having passed it frequently. It’s usually pretty busy, particularly in the mornings & weekends. They’re reasonably priced and generally are timely– although we learned that if you order takeout on a weekend, be prepared to wait a good while for your food. We’ve tried a handful of items– sandwiches, caesar salad & eggs benedict– none of which I’d write home about. They’re all mediocre in quality and flavor. HOWEVER, what keeps us coming back are their homemade fries & cheese. So flavorful & filling.

UPDATE: 07÷13÷15 Decided to give it another shot for breakfast and called in my order. The waitress taking my order was clearly trying to rush me and very rude when I asked a few questions making me feel like I did something wrong and that she did not desire my business. Customer service skills are really lacking in this restaurant. Dropping from 3 stars to 2.

Sunday morning family breakfast spot. Love it! Fried mac n cheese bites and fried ravioli are on the ‘secret’ menu I usually get the hash and eggs with toast, love it!

Love, love, love, love… Did I say love?! Everything here is great. From the home fries, to the BLT club! I tried just about everything. The breakfast is always a great choice no matter the time of day! They even have a car day/night that gets pretty serious! Then having an outside pick up/sit down spot, is just, right on! Stop looking at your phone and go now! I said go!

Price — 4.5 $ 25 for lunch with 2 adults and 1 child. Not too shabby! Quality — 4.7 Food tasted very good. Above average Portion Size — 5 The amount of food was just right. I didn’t have any leftovers and I was stuffed. Atmosphere — 5 The restaurant was busy but not that loud Overall score: 4.8 stars out of 5 Other notes: The staff was very friendly and the food was very quick to arrive. This was my first time here and I would definitely come back.

It’s a diner my folks go to often, if you know how diners work you’ll fit right in but if you want something fruitytooty you best look elsewhere. It’s great for Saturday morning breakfast but not for fish and chips, but I’m pretty sure you knew that if you’re looking up Fritz’s on the interwebs. Good food, pretty cheap. If service is lacking you will see people going behind the bar to get their own coffee, stuff like that.

worst restaurant i have ever been to. honestly. the food sucked. they do not wear gloves in the kitchen. the waitress Dee was a complete bitch to me. probably the most unprofessional business i have ever experienced! i do not understand how this diner has been open for 60 something years. so shitty… the atmosphere was swarming with flies and trashy valley people. total mess. never again. their food gave me a stomach ache.

Went for lunch today! I ordered fish and chips. I could only eat the chips! The fish was so smelly, I couldn’t eat it! It must have been old! My partner had good meatloaf, but instant mashed potatoes! One more bad thing is the dust on the curtains was so thick, I was afraid it would fall off in clumps onto my food!(Chips, that is!) Should stick to takeout and French fries only!

I absolutely am a Fan! I always enjoy the food and the quality is excellent. I really love breakfast and their eggs benedict is the best around! You can’t beat the price or quality. The service is good, depending upon who is your waitress. It can be a little slow with service, but that is expected in a small place that is always packed with hungry appetites. I would recommend them. It’s better than the diner and some of your higher end places that charge an arm and leg for food that is not better quality than Fritz! They make excellent lunch food too… such as cheese fries… mmmm!

Great service! Cute place to have brunch. Kids portion for chocolate chip pancakes was excellent! The shake/malts eating area is very nostalgic. Potato hash and spinach with feta cheese omelet was delicious, eggs made just right. Reasonably priced. This is one of the very few places where it is a real breakfast/brunch places since it closes shortly after lunch time. A little disappointed at the home made corned beef hash, needs more work. Taste similar to canned corned beef hash.

When I was in high school, Fritz’s was a tiny diner that was the place to go for breakfast when you skipped school and lunch when you left school early. Aside from knowing the family and the waitress, the food was always good and very inexpensive. The prices are still reasonable and the food is OK. But the menu is pretty basic, diner style so nothing overly impressive. Of course, my tastes have changed through the years so I will take that into consideration in my review. The homefries are definitely not as good as I remembered but I did like the French Toast very much. They make it old-school style, using regular sliced bread(not that Texas Toast shit). I haven’t been able to get French Toast like that in years. The coffee was awful and the juice wasn’t fresh squeezed — like I said basic diner style. If the service was OK, I would have given Fritz’s 3* but it was HORRIBLE. I have worked customer service for over 20 years so I expect good service. Even at a diner style restaurant, I would at least expect decent service but this was beyond bad. The wait staff on the day I was there was 2 high school girls that seemed very bothered to serve us. We were sitting at the table for 10 minutes before the girl even acknowledged us, at which point she came over and finally offered us menus!!! 10 minutes later, she poured coffee and took our order. The food came out hot but coffee refills for my grandmother were pretty much non-existent and they never even checked in to see how we were doing. At one point, my father-in-law flagged down a waitress to ask if he could get a cup of coffee and the girl said, «well, I’m not your waitress so I will find her and have her get it.» EXCUSEME! First rule in customer service, acknowledge your customer. And NEVER say«I am not your waitress» b/c that conveys the message you do not want to help. Either get the coffee(which was literally located in back of our table — less than 5 steps from our table) or let the other server know their customer needs something.

After a couple dozen satisfactory to outstanding meal and prompt service here, I can report with confidence that Fritz’s breakfast eggs can be depended upon to be cooked exactly the way you ask. Fritz’s pancakes, omelets, and waffles — that are cooked on an ancient waffle iron(no heat ‘n’ serve frozen waffles here) — are legendary. On Sunday mornings its ample parking lot is mobbed. Order a hotdog. You’ll be very happy: the New England style bun is toasted, and you’ll get your dog well-done and blistered if you ask. My friend and I had one today — as an after breakfast«dessert.» Try the clam chowder; it’s made every day and is amazing … for a «snack bar» that has no ocean view. Wheelchair accessible.

Let me start off by saying my favorite meal of the day is breakfast, it starts the day and it starts the mood for the day. In the past I have gotten the very basic 2 eggs over easy with rye toast with a side of their giant chunked barely cooked potatoes(which i look past because im just gonna do the egg and toast anyways) BUT this last weekend, after waking up and craving breakfast my boyfriend suggested just stopping by this place which I unfortunetly agreed. I ordered an egg white omelet with broccoli… before you say thats like high maintenance or whatever its not. its egg whites… and a vegetable. NOTHARD. APPPPPPPPPPPPARENTLY to Fritzs its hard. I took one bite and could barely finish chewing(actually i didnt and used a napkin, im sorry but i had to tell just to get across how bad it was) Their broccoli tasted as if it had been frozen since dinosaurs walked the earth and then unfrozen for a little bit, frozen again and then left to sit in its own prehistoric juices for about a week… SOOFCOURSE i made my boyfriend try it, and his face was pretty much the same as mine. Basically if you want a vegetable from this place that isnt from prehistoric times, you wont find it. Stick to the bare bones and youll be ok BUTDONOTSTRAYFROMTHAT. …that will be the last time i will ever go there.(I only gave 2 stars because of my acceptable meals ive had in the past)
