Vendetti’s Pizza & Pasta

Can’t speak to the competition because I’m not from the area, but we ordered from Vendetti’s on Saturday and it was pretty good. We had one round pizza, one square, cheese bread, and a Garden Salad. I’d probably give it a 3.5 if I could, but for some reason, I’m hesitant to round up.
Everyone thought the square pizza was better than the round even though some of our group normally prefers round pizza. The crust on the round was just a little bland or something. The square pizza was quite good. Everyone enjoyed the cheese bread, too. Garden salad was just okay. Didn’t have a whole lot in the way of toppings, but it was fresh and the dressing was really good.
I think I may have gone in with high expectations due to the other Unilocal reviews, so it’s possible I’m unfairly holding this place to a higher standard. I’d definitely give Vendetti’s another shot if I’m in the area. Kinda want to try the Spanky.

Awesome pizza. Pizza dough — sauce — and cheese. That’s a pizza and they have the best in town for these core components. Their pasta dishes taste really good too. Follow their daily specials too and you will be a very happy customer.

Best pizza in town. Good independent long time business (at other locations). Dino, the owner is a great guy.
The Spanky is a clasic, and you can’t go wrong with any of the Pizzas. I prefer the square.

I am not sure what happened during this trip. About a month ago, my girlfriend picked up some pizzas to bring to our house from Vendetti’s raving that it was her family’s favorite! We really enjoyed the supreme large round pizzas, so last Sunday when we were having a pizza craving we quickly called Vendetti’s to order.
We ordered a simple pepperoni square pizza on Sunday afternoon, expecting to be blown away from the cooked cheesy crust and delicious cuts of pepperoni. When we got home, the pizza was slightly warm– definitely not hot. The top was not covered with cheese, so bumpy tomato sauce covered dough was exposed on all four corners. When we took our first bites, we were completely disappointed.
One experience at a 4 star, one experience at a 2 star (if that!). So, I will settle one 3 stars before giving them another try.

Excellent sandwiches and pizza, definitely a must for family and friends! The owners are great people too and dedicated to the highest quality ingredients.

My kids and I love it here! It’s the epitome of «hometown» and everything I’ve eaten from the pizza, pasta, chicken parm & salad has been more than tasty. Everything always tastes fresh and I love the casual atmosphere for a nice meal with my kids. They always clear their plates! The service is great… It’s counter service not table service, but everyone is SO nice and accommodating. My son spilled an entire soda one time and they were so super kind about it and to him (he was upset), they were laughing and got him laughing.
Love it. Go and get a Spanky today!

Great pizza with a super special on a Friday night! Staff was good but suggest they add chicken, spinach, and feta as pizza toppings. Pizza was great & fast too!

The pizza was great. I have had them all in this area and this place was the best so far. Better than G’s, Jets and all the rest. Great crust, great cheese, great sauce. Toppings were good/​mediocre.

Decided to try this little place I always seemed to pass by and I’m so glad I did. The pizza was fresh and very well crafted even the salad was delicious! You will pay a little more then a $ 5 little cezars pizza but the quality is defiantly better! I will try the bread sticks next time I go very excited to find a good pizza place close by.

I have ordered from here on 3 occasions and I have yet to be disappointed! The gnocchi is wonderful as is the meat ravioli. They are far superior to any pizza place around in price, taste and speed. I wouldn’t order from anywhere else again.

I feel so fat. I couldn’t stop eating. Do yourself a favor by breaking the Jets habit and give this place a try.
We had a deep dish pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms, an order of cheesy bread and an antipasto salad. Quality ingredients and TLC went into making the pie and the cheesy bread. Salad was mediocre, iceberg lettuce and canned olives, just like every other carry out pizza place.
The kids that work there are friendly and energetic.
Offstreet parking is available in the back
so you don’t have to worry about trying to park on Lapeer Rd.
This is definitely my new spot for carry out pizza.

It has been a long time since I was this excited about a sub. They have hands down, the best meatball sub out there. You also can’t go wrong with the famous spanky (this is my wifes, favorite) very happy to live near a place so perfect for the cravings we get.

They have quality ingredients and are quite friendly. Always a pleasure to go here to eat.
