Tanglewood Restaurant & Lounge

Our waitress Laci was so nice and attentive. I had the palomino shrimp pasta, very good. I also had the lobster bisque, very good, big chunks of lobster. My boyfriend had the breakfast burger and he really liked it. He said the juices were flowing and the burger was cooked just the way he likes them :) he wants to come back and I defiantly don’t mind tagging along :)

This place is ok. Lots of fried food (that seems like it came out of the freezer, rather than being home made). Average beer selection. It’s an ok place to hand out. The only reason I’ve ever been there was because I was staying at the attached hotel.

This place has had such a great turn around. The food is amazing. I cannot speak highly enough. This is definitely one of owossos hidden gems. The beer cheese is soooo good as are the pretzels. I am a huge fan of the BBQ flat bread and the steak house burger. Recommend this to anyone!

I am amazed this place has such high reviews.
My boyfriend and I ate here last week. Our original destination was another restaurant in the area that unbeknownst to me, is closed on the day we went in to eat.
So,
rather than go across town to predictable Applebee’s, we took a chance at Tanglewood.
What a regrettable choice!
The good: craft beers on tap, friendly bartender.
The bad: The food and the prices. We ordered an appetizer-​the calamari– and it was undercooked. We learned a valuable lesson-​if the appetizers are bad, don’t order a main dish. For main courses, I had the beef dipper. It was okay, not worth the price. My boyfriend had the highly reccommended «breakfast burger»…which he said was disgusting. The bacon on it was overlooked and resembled beef jerky, while the burger was very undercooked even for medium doneness. Our food also took quite a while
to get to us and they were not busy.
We have been out to eat so many times and places in the last year we’ve been together and this is the worst meal we’ve had hands down. Unless you’re looking for a beer, Id avoid the Tanglewood.

Stopped in on our way home. I had a hamburger which was very good and my wife had a salad with chicken that she enjoyed. We both got a different kind of shop and enjoyed that as well. The wait staff was very friendly and well trained. I would go back again if in the area.

The food was just ok. My son got the kids fish and chips that was the best part of our meal. My husband got chicken caesar that looked wilted. I chose the house sirloin with garlic mashed. The mashed came out cold & the sirloin over cooked. Sent back and it was corrected. Service was also just ok, as it took 15 min to get our bill.

Very good food and service. Wonderful choices. Not your ordinary menu. I was very impressed and will certainly return.

This place is awesome! We ordered a «slice» of cheesecake and the waitress came out with about a ¼ of the whole thing! Friendly staff. Also try the zombie killer! Yum!

Sean and Van are the best! I’ve visited a few times and I’m so impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere of this restaurant! The thing that really stands out is how caring and accommodting the staff has been. I’m a vegan and this has been the most flexible restaurant that I’ve been to during my travels. Usually, I’m eating a plain potato but, not here! They’ve taken the time to make custom and OUTSTANDING meals. The other thing that really shines through is how friendly the staff has been each time we come here. This is a place worth visiting time and time again.

Excellent food. Great staff. Highly impressed. Don’t pass up eating here if you are in Owosso.
