A beautiful place to picnic, swim, hike, or simply sunbathe, tucked away in the small town of Owls Head. Admission is $ 3 per adult, collected in a donation container by the entrance to the beach. There are trails to explore along the coast, a pebbly beach to splash in, and large, flat rocks that are perfect for spreading a blanket. A few notes: — Public restrooms are located by the parking lot. They are low-frills, but functional — The water in mid-July was pretty cold, but that didn’t deter several families from taking a dip — When my group first hit the beach, the day was sunny and clear, but about an hour later a fog rolled in and blanketed everything(I would suggest having a backup activity in case this is a regular occurence).
