Staples the Office Superstore

I arrived at Staples tonight just before closing. I own several businesses and was appalled at a sales woman’s behavior. I needed ink cartridges for my 8600 printer. I hurt my foot so I parked along the curb at the front door in an effort to minimize my walking. I got out of the car, observed three people deep checking out at one register and one at another. As I hobbled to the door, a sales woman unlocked the door to let a patron out and proceeded to tell me the store CLOSES AT 8PM and was closed. I explained I just needed a cartridge. She apologized and told me to drive to the Pikesville store, they were open till 9pm. She watched as I hobbled back to my car and drove away thinking I should have paid better attention to the time, however, it would have been nice if she let me run in and get what I needed which would have taken less time then checking out the 3 other people, yet I understood and I do believe in following the rules. However, I then noticed my car and phone time had just turned 8:00pm!
REALLY!!! I DON’T BELIEVE THAT IS WHAT WE CALL GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I GUESS SHE DIDN’T CARE ENOUGH ABOUT ME OR THE 2 COUPLES WALKING IN BEHIND ME WHOM I’M SURE GOT THE SAME RECEPTION. TO SUGGEST I DRIVE EXTRA MILES TO PURCHASE $ 129 DOLLARS WORTH OF INK FROM ANOTHER STAPLES IS DREAMING, NO THANKS, I WENT TO SAM’S AND PAID LESS, $ 79.99!
KNOW WHAT STAPLES SALES PEOPLE MOTTO IS… THAT WAS EASY!!! just not for the customer…

Please explain why this particular staples location opens and hour later then other staples in the area, example. This location opens at 10 am on Saturdays but the other location less than 5 miles away on the same street opens at 9 and closes at 9pm. This particular location closes at 7 pm on a SATURDAY!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! One of the busiest shopping days of the week you guys close 2hours earlier than not only your sister store but also your competitors and the rest of the ENTIRE shopping center you are associated with. Hmmmmm I wonder if corporate know what type of hours your store manager has set up for this store. Seems to me you guys don’t like to work. Hey if your issue is not enough business well close. Merge with the store down the street maybe you guys can be the first 24hr Staple… drops mic walks away from the front door of a closed at 7pm Staples.
