Nail Trix

Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Aside from being dirty none of them do quality work you have to instruct them to paint neatly. Clip correctly. And even do your pedi right. He missed so much on my pedicure I literally want to scream right now! I’m never returning. I gave them a break (2year)after I got a nail fungus infection, but because I live across the street it’s convenient. No more though I’m done. There was visible big dirt particles in the bowl they were prepping to give me a pedicure. I had to ask them to wash it. Then he proceeds to just run water. No sir. That’s dirt you need to disinfect!

I was recommend this place when I moved to Baltimore… from a guy. Go figure! The customer service is ok, nothing special. It does get crowded on weekends and its hard to get over to the drying station with wet feet because you have to walk around so many people and they look at you like you are the crazy one.
One occasion, It was Christmas time and I wanted a french pedi with Red tips. Pretty easy request, huh? The lady did my pedi and then she let another girl do the french. I understand some people are not skilled at free handing as others and I totally get that. She painted the tips red. No base coat (red stains). She then went over it with a clear coat. As I left and got outside, my toes looked horrible (French is $ 7 extra, too). I didn’t like how you could see my natural nail up against the harsh red. I had asked her to use whatever base they use for a typical french before she started painting, not sure if she didn’t understand? Wasn’t pleased at all and I can do better at home, which I ended up going home to correct.
Second occasion & a true story! I took my girlfriends here for a quick fill and a pedi before we got on the road to A.C. As my friend was getting her fill, the health inspector came in. The whole salon had to stop what they were doing while she did her inspection. Understandable. She did the inspections and handed the nail tech who was doing my friends hands a pink citation slip. I had a look of concern on my face and the inspector looked and me and could tell I was a bit freaked. She kinda gave me a little smile as if to try and ease my mind. I could tell one of the things she went over with him was the little metal case they keep at their station that holds their clippers etc– was dirty. There were a few more violations on her slip, but I could not make out what she was saying to him after that first one. She saw I was looking/​listening and she was trying to be more discreet.
My friends fill should have been a 45 job. it ended up being 2+ hours because of the timing of the surprise inspection.
They always ask if I want to get waxed, but I always decline. They probably double dip here, too. I can’t so for sure that they do, I just get that vibe, ya know?
I will keep searching for another Pedi place.

Extremely disgusting nail salon. Went in for a pedicure and the jets inside of the tub were FILTHY. I thought they may have just forgot to clean that one so I suggested another basin. That one also filthy and the person doing the pedicure did not seem to notice/​care. After seeing the second basin, I decided to leave as I can’t trust the cleanliness of their tools and atmosphere.
