Management was super friendly and accommodating. The food was good, I had the Nova with cream cheese on an everything bagel. It’s a nice spot to grab some bagel sandwiches or pick up fresh bagels for the office.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I really wanted this place to be good, despite what the other Unilocal reviews said, cause it is so close to my house. I should have listened. Food had zero taste. Front of the house staff was friendly enough, but that’s more than I can say for back of the house staff. After messing up my order, they told me there would be an up charge to give me what I originally ordered. The whole time the woman in the kitchen was yelling about it. I find that unbelievable. How do I have to pay more when they screwed up. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Great bagels, breakfast and lunch grub, and staff. It’s a simple operation done right with a lot of love. This place is special to me and my family. My advice: Eat all of the bagels at least twice to find your precious. The Supreme and Pumpernickel are two of my favorites.

Okay, my mom is correct in that the bagels are great. I was put out, however, when the counter help called to the back to get permission for me to buy a dozen bagels! Really? I thought they were in business to sell bagels. After obtaining permission to sell me bagels he interrupted the process twice to assist folks whom he greeted by name. When I got home I noticed that I had been up charged 20 cents for five of the bagels. The second time(my mom asked to go) in I inquired about the charge. I was advised that some of the bagels cost more than the others. It would be nice to know that up front. I did not see anything being dropped on the floor as other people have mentioned, but considering the surly nature of some of the people behind the counter I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised.

I’ve only ever had the jalapeño bagel… because it’s delicious. When you ask for cream cheese, you get quite a nice sized schmear. They have quite a variety, so you’re always going to get something you enjoy. The baked goods are amazing too, and rainbow cake!

Always passed it on my former way to work. Always wanted to try it so today I did. I ordered the Powerhouse Turkey combination… and it was the freshest sandwich I have had in a long time. The turkey was not sodium ladened, like a lot of sandwich places I’ve visited do and the ingredients were just fresh all around and the portions just perfect for the price. The front counter attendant was courteous and patient and very hospitable. I’m a new fan. Thanks!

Stopped in for a late morning snack. the sesame bagel was amazing, and stuffed with some of the best butter I’ve ever tasted. Lots of fresh pastries and bagels to choose from. Stop in, you’ll love it.

Looking for a new place to eat lunch in Owings Mills I stopped in for the first time today. I ordered a chicken salad on a toasted onion bagel. While the food was good(but nothing special) a few other things troubled me. First I was asked if I wanted lettuce and tomato on my sandwich, I said sure, only to realize I was up-charged $.50 for the tomato. This is pretty absurd when the sandwich itself cost almost 7 dollars. If you’re going to up charge people for«extras» you need to tell them prior to paying. On my way out another customer was loudly complaining about being up-charged $.50 for onion. Another shocking charge was the Arizona ice tea can I picked out for my drink. A product that is usually $.99 or no more than a $ 1.50 was $ 2.79?!? My experience with the ordering process was also strange. I was asked to step out of line so the two people behind me could be served first. I get the feeling the counter person new them. The whole interaction was just odd and uncomfortable. Last and most troubling was watching an employee drop a bagel on the floor and instead of placing it directly into the trash place it onto a back counter. I can’t assume anything here, but I feel like anything that touches the floor should go directly into the trash. Oh and my sandwich platter was accompanied by the saddest pickle you’ve ever seen. the end. one and done.

Yum! It’s hard to find a good bagel on this side of town, but this place has them. They also have a cloak and bagger on the menu(my favorite sandwich at Mary Mervis Deliccasen in Lex. Market — its a cold reuben with coleslaw instead of kraut). I will be returning for that sandwich, but the bagels are really good. Boiled before baking!

Living on campus at Stevenson University, across the street from Courtney’s — you would think I would stop in for breakfast on a regular basis. that’s never going to happen. I went for a bagel and chocolate milk one morning and received terrible customer service as well as terrible product. My onion bagel was burnt«black:», when I asked the lady at the front counter she said«that’s the way its supposed to look». I then had to repurchase another bagel and asked for it not to be toasted — although my first bagel was clearly burnt. Then as I drank my carton of chocolate milk that I purchased as well, I noticed something«slimey» touch my lip. When I left the store(after paying for two bagels and receiving numerous«eyerolls» from the staff) I dumped the chocolate milk on the ground and a large slimey lump of «who knows what» — the size of a strawberry fell onto the ground. Needless to say, I havent been back since.

Courtney’s is an average bagel shop on the high-end spectrum of prices. The bagels aren’t bad, and I don’t mind going there on a Sunday morning, but I wouldn’t make a trip of any length. I haven’t had the lunch sandwiches, but they seemed limited and more breakfast based.

While the bagels are very good, the place could use some serious training in food preparation and cleanliness. I actually witnessed a staff member washing the soda case put the rag on the floor and then proceed to wipe off the trays with the same rag without cleaning it.

Best veggie cream cheese EVER! with bits of broccoli, carrots, cabbage — all easily identifiable. Bagels are really good too. No ambience so get it to go.

Yum! Courtneys Bagels are really good, but not«the best». I recommend it if you are looking for a dozen bagels on the way home, or a yummy lunch time sandwich. the food is nothing incredibly memorable, and I would never go out of my way to eat at Courtneys, but the times I have had it, i enjoyed it… One thing I really don’t like is the lack of parking. but I loved the customer service and the price was right.

Finally a place near me with real bagels(aka boiled before being baked) that also has whitefish salad. They don’t have fancy hipster flavors, but they have all the classics and all the important stuff. It’s not fancy, but it’s definitely an *in-community* type of place. I love it!

Really good place to run in and grab a dozen bagels for breakfast with the family. The lines are sometimes long but the bagels are tasty and they have a lot of variety. My absolute favorites are the half and halfs.
