I have used this specialty seafood mail order company a few times in the past two years for gifts. Living on the east coast the request I get from friends and family are good crab cakes. The past two orders have been miserable. The first was made online — two days later(the day the gift was scheduled to arrive) I got a call from the company saying that they were out of what I ordered(remind you that the order was for crab cakes from a company named CRABCAKES and more). I was advised that I could order another item of equal value. This past month I ordered what was marketed as the crab cake baker’s dozen — 13 for the price of 12. Luckily the gift recipient actually read the packing ordered and saw that there should have been 13 in the box rather than the only 12 sent by the company. I contacted the company and asked that they make the order right and send the remaining crab cake. The company rep told me that they could give me a 15% credit — to which I again asked them to fulfill the order that I made and paid for. He told me that he would get back to me. Never did. Check my credit card statement and no refund there either. I called the company again and was told that«we don’t only send one crab cake — we will refund you the cost of one of the cakes.» Wanted to convey my experiences with this formerly go to mail order company for gifts.
