This place couldn’t get an order right if their lives depended on it! Even though it is right on the screen, and is repeated back to me right, they always get something screwed up! The wrong items or something is missing or there will be pickle on my no-pickle burger! It doesn’t make sense! And when I say WELL-DONE fish filet I mean WELL-DONE, not half-done and squishy and gross! And WELL-DONE bacon on my bacon/egg/cheese biscuit means WELL-DONE, not half-raw, rubbery, stretchy bacon that I gag on and have to spit out! Is that so hard to handle? Then when I ASK when they hand it immediately out the window to me if it is well done, they lie and say yes, when they KNOW it isnt! Just to save a minute or to avoid bringing it outside to the car! Obviously their own personal selfish agenda is more important than the customers! Also, «no pickle» does not mean NOCONDIMENTS! I would say plain if I want plain! And COKE does not mean Dr. Pepper! Idiots! And why can’t you get the cheese centered on their burgers and fish filets??? Always hanging way off the meat/fish! And the condiments are always running all over the side! Is it rocket-science to put the cheese in the middle and the condiments ON the sandwich, not on the side of the bun??? Quit pickin’ at your acne and watch what you’re doin’!! And I am tired of shriveled-up, cold, hard-as-a-rock fries! I worked at McDonalds in Weslyan Pk. Plaza straight out of high school for five years, and it was the only one in town at the time. I did the fries for most of that time, and we had a set amount of minutes we could hold the fries,(and sandwiches) then when the timer went off, they went into the trash! Either the employees these days dont pay attention to the timer or McDonalds has changed their policy! I was told by several regular customers they NEVER got a bad fry when I was working. I expect the same quality of food for my money! We should not have to spend good money for bad food! Also…whoever worked the window today at the McDonalds on 4th St.(HW60 E) is stealing from the Ronald McDonald House Charities. This person is a female that worked the window on March 1st, 2014, at 5:25PM, brown hair, ponytail, and glasses. I ordered a well-done fish filet sandwich and small hamburger without pickle, and small Coke, which came to $ 5.70. I told her to just throw the change in the donation box,(under the window) and as I moved slowly along to the second window, I watched in my side-mirror, as I always do, to see if she did. Usually I see their hand come out and throw it in the box. This time, this particular employee DIDN’T. And I watched for about three minutes before I got to the 2nd window! It wasn’t dark yet, so I could see just fine. Then I was asked to pull up and wait, which I did, never taking my eyes off that first window. After about 5 more minutes in all, she STILL had not put her hand out to drop my change in the donation box! Then, other cars started coming around the side. Still no change dropped into the box. I am pretty sure my donation went into her pocket! I know it was only 30 cents, but it’s the principal of it, and if she does this repeatedly, she is making quite a killing off the customers wanting to give to Ronald McDonald House Charities. I wonder if she ever steals directly from the box, too! If she’d steal the money that is supposed to go into the box, she probably takes from the box, too. I will just wait for the change from now on and throw it in the box myself. But… if she steals from the box, maybe I better just keep my donation! McDonald’s needs to check their schedule and video tape of the exact time and see what I mean, then get rid of this theiving girl! She is ripping off customers and McDonalds! If you want tips, honey, be a waitress at a REAL restaurant! Don’t steal them from customers and a charity!!! How low can you BE?

OK. Normally I wouldn’t even deign to review a McDonald’s. As I’ve said before, chain restaurants would have to do something spectacular(or not so spectacular) to rate a review and even then, anything above 3 stars would be an achievement. In the case of this specific Mickey D’s, they’ve just done what few chains manage. In this instance, that is not a compliment. After an evening ROMPing in Owensboro, my brother and I wanted a little breakfast. Not finding any immediately nearby recommendations on Unilocal,we opted for this McDonald’s. McDonald’s near and far are reliably mediocre. It’s not their slogan, but I think it works. Anyhow, while the food here maintains that mediocrity, everything else about it falls so far under mediocre, somewhere near the 12th level of Hell. Counter lines are long and the staff is so unenthused and disorganized that you’d think they passed out all their sense with whatever change they give at the drive-thru. Example 1: Child gets sick as worker is removing the over-flowing trash. She promptly vomits on the floor as the worker watches. Parents rush girl to bathroom. Worker walks off, leaving trash and vomit on the floor, where another customer nearly slips and falls. I never did see a worker come back with a mop, or even one of those signs warning people about a wet floor. Example 2: Sorry, that one’s too disgusting to even mention. Nonetheless, that’s the gist. So, potential customers, pass this one by. I know it looks convenient but it’s a ruse, designed to make you think you have no other choice. But, there’s a DQ just down the road and a place called Dee’s Diner in the other direction, even though I never had the opportunity to visit either, they’ve got to be better than this.

They get it right sometimes… Takes FOREVER even just to order late at night. Hope you like cold fries and sloppy burgers though.
