Parkview Restaurant

I really enjoyed the shrimp scampi. Large shrimp cooked just right. Huge portion of pasta.

I was going to give this restaurant a higher rating after the original restitution offered.
1.Poor (but not nasty) Service (for the most part). — My family had ordered 2 soups, a Mushroom Burger, a hot dog kids meal, and a chicken nuggets kids meal. After a half hour, I asked several people where our meal was and they weren’t even sure where it was. During this entire time, the waitress and other staff were trying to figure out the POS system. About 40 minutes in, my wife and I received our meals, and 5 –10 minutes after that, the kids received theirs.
2. Poor Communication amongst Staff– After the delay in service, the waitress was apologetic and offered to pay for the 2 children’s meals then offered to cover desserts. We were not going to abuse the desserts so amongst the 4 of us, we ordered 2 desserts,
When the bill came, not only were we charged for the children’s meals, we were charged for desserts. As there were a number of people ahead of us on line to pay the bill, I was not going to cause a scene or backup of service, I decided to wait the extra 10 minutes to pay. When I spoke to the cashier (who was also the Owner), she questioned the discount while the waitress was walking by and the waitress stated that I had stood correct. The Owner stated that all she can do was to take off the kids meals.
I was annoyed but understanding of our waitress who admitted that she made an error, but the fact that the owner saw us there after a half hour of not receiving anything and was not willing to compensate us and telling us that the our waitress was incorrect and the way they handled their internal matters is what motivated me in writing this review.
Managers should standby their subordinates in the customer facing and handle additional constructive feedback after hours.
3. Food Quality — Good

Love the burgers here, the boneless wings are pretty good (despite a scanty portion for the price and a tad too much time in the fryer) and the Reubens are also a hit. I like the pub menu better than the dinner menu and tend to gravitate toward that and have never been disappointed.
Service is friendly and efficient.

Had the mac and cheese over chili, and it was yummy. Also had the mixed berry shortcake, and my lunch mates had banana cream pie, both desserts were homemade and also yummy. I’ve been here several times and it has always been good! 2 sides to the place, one side is the bar with dining and the other is a dining room. Service was a tad slow since there was only 2 waitstaff, but very friendly! Other’s have gotten the Reuben, the HUGE hamburgers and it was all really good.

The pub burger is both juicy and satisfying. Good beer prices, and the waitresses are nice too
