On January 4, 2016 I had a accident in my home spilling hot coffee on my left hand. I went in to urgent care for treatment. It was termed as a second degree burn. The staff was absolutely wonderful, they had me go in every day to change the bandage and monitor the burn for infection. The care I received was exemplary. They knew me by name. All of the Staff was fabulous. I saw different Doctors, however, I saw Dr. Marsh most frequently. Dr. Marsh has been with Urgent Care of Green country for several years. I have occasional accidents and he has always provided me the best of care. When I cannot get in to my primary care Doctor on short notice I will always go to Urgent Care of Green Country. I went in After 5pm and was never charged any additional. The care and treatment I have gotten with them has always been of the best quality and I have NEVER had a reason to complain.

The nurses and admin staff are v. nice, but, that’s about it. The doctor(Gordon Jones) who saw me, pretty much saw me for less than 5 mins, and didn’t ask if I had any questions. I had to stop him twice from him opening the door and leaving, to ask questions. And even then, didn’t ask enough. I had a cold and apparently according to him, allergies. So he didn’t give anything for the cold(just to continue to use my normal cough syrup). For allergies, he gave me an allergies shot(steroids), he didn’t even discuss any alternatives nor side effects. I trust doctors in general, but in hindsight, steroids can have big side effects, and to not discuss them is ridiculous. Also, when I got my paperwork from the nurse, I noticed a «standard» line saying that I(the patient) have discussed the procedures and alternatives and understand any effects. Or something like that. Which I have NOT. Beware of coming to this place. Any doctor worth their salt should discuss the procedures that you are getting. I understand it is a shot, but it is not any normal shot(such as flu shot that most people are knowledgeable about). Especially since steroids have bad fame(athletes and all that), that doctors should talk about them, and explain why they think the patient should get steroids instead of say, Claritin, for allergies.

Urgent Care of Green Country in Owasso now charges 30.00 extra over and above the regular charges if you go to them after 5:00 during the week or anytime on weekends and holidays. They charged my daughter when she went on Labor day and they also charged me when I went to them on a Sunday, our insurance won’t pay the additional 30.00 charge and Urgent Care will not take it off and no where will you ever see a sign posted regarding the extra charge, not on their office or on their website.
