badmouthed the other nail shops in Owasso – said how she was the best
She lectured about how people came to her with nail fungus and how she had to do them but did not like to – WOW like I wanted to hear that.
Shop in her home was clean but cold

I believe this was the best nail experience I have ever had! I’ve had acrylic nails, gel, solar, you name it — over the past 25+ years. For the last 3 years, I had nothing on my nails due to the Shellac fad which ended up ruining my nail bed. Unfortunately most nail salon techs want to move you through as fast as possible and won’t wait for the gel to be removed by acetone — hence I had mine removed a few times with a dremel — call me a stupid customer, but I had no idea what that was doing to my nail bed until I had a salon completely remove my gel and refuse to put any back on (another good nail tech). About 2 months ago I decided to go back to having gel polish which has been going great, but I found myself in Tulsa (I live in Chicago and travel weekly throughout the Central States) in desperate need of getting it replaced. My nails had grown out and the gel was cracking and splitting near the tips. I’m an avid fan of Unilocal,so I looked up nail salons and found Michelle’s. I initially didn’t get an answer when I called, but Michelle called me back and left a message. We spoke and she couldn’t get me in the day I called, but stated she could take me the following day when my meetings ended. She started with getting my hands washed and washing her hands, explaining the issues of cross contamination. I explained my issues with gel and she offered me try a sculpted nail product that she recommends which would last longer and look better than the gel polish I was using. I can’t remember the last time my nails looks this good! I would highly recommend her and I’ve book marked her spot for the next time I’m in town. Thank you Michelle!!!

Michelle is beyond awesome. I have been getting my nails done for years at some of the cheap places around Tulsa and had no idea the damage that they were actually doing to my nails. I went to Michelle for the first time after a friend recommended her. When she took off the old acrylic on my nails, they were almost brown underneath — gross! — where the other places hadn’t been properly cleaning them. Michelle took the extra time to clean them completely, go through things I can do at home daily to help out, and help me get them back on the right track and back to being healthy again. She also ensured that I got both exfoliating rub for my hands and oil so that I can do this at home to ensure that they stay on the right track to being extremely healthy under the acrylic.
**Coolest part: When we got to the point of her putting on a new layer of acrylic (I have long natural nails, I don’t like or use tips), she gave me a wide choice of custom acrylic powders to choose from. I had a hard time picking which one I wanted! She has about every color that you can think of: green, blue, purple, hot pink, light pink, yellow, shoot — you name it. And she custom mixes some with glitter and other cool things that I have never ever seen anywhere else. For those of you that love the gel or shellac polishes, here is a better way! You can have your color in the acrylic so it never fades, never chips, never gets damaged by chemicals that you might use at home. I chose light pink with glitter and then black tips painted on.
I’ve seen some of the really cool nail art that Michelle does as well and that will be what I get the next time I go in!
If you have never been to a nail salon that actually tries to ensure your nails are healthy and you are totally happy, go to Michelle. In fact, go to Michelle no matter what! I will never go anywhere else and even though I don’t live in Owasso, it’s well worth the drive out there for me to ensure my nails are healthy and beautiful at the same time.
Now, before you go — she is a bit more overall than the cheaper places, but like $ 5-​$ 10. The small difference is WELL worth it. Your nails will be healthy, you will be completely happy with them, and Michelle herself is just a really cool gal.
She also does pedicures and several types of nails — for those of you that prefer something different than acrylic. I would highly recommend her and you will end up wondering why you have gone somewhere else at all.
