Bad experience. Took way too long to get our food. After 45 minutes The sushi came out and it was in the ok to good range and small portions. The other meals never came out after almost an hour wait. We Will not be eating here again.

Service — top notch! I’m a big believer that my glass shouldn’t be empty for long. The server we had was on top of that and was very informative about the questions we had. If only my review stopped here… Food — mediocre. We ordered 4 rolls which were reasonable priced. However, there was way too much mayo on the rolls(see pic). Plus the mayo tasted like Krafts spicy mayo. Also the wasabi looked old. It wasn’t smooth and was very hard to break off. Also, I would suggest they put their sushi menu in alphabetical order. It was a little hard to follow.

Way too many fried options. They need to increase the healthier roll. But since it’s close to home, I’ll probably be back.

Very upset with this place. I was turned away at 9:20 on a Friday night. Website says open til 10;00. It did say 9:30 on door. I was told as I walked in door. The server that told me to leave had to recognize me. We eat there and get take out the a lot ! Not anymore ! No loyally at all. They should seat people until close. Won’t go back. I told guy we eat there all the time and how disappointed I was and he didn’t care at all! Didn’t even apologize. We won’t be back

Delicious and fresh sushi. Edamame was perfectly steamed. My wife and I have been here twice and the only complaint we have is that they don’t have fountain drinks and the water doesn’t taste filtered. The waiters are great and the service is fast. We will definitely be back for more!

I’m sorry to say this but that was the worst sushi I’ve ever had and I’ve been enjoying sushi for close to 30 years. Where should I start? The fish is not fresh and the pieces are not cut right. I can guarantee the sushi chef did not train under anyone close to being a master sushi chef because everything about the sashimi, nigiri and even the rolls was wrong. I’ve never seen square pieces of fish served as sashimi. And another reviewer was right on when he said the pieces were paltry. The rolls had way too much rice and the ingredients inside were nonexistent. I’ve never seen anyone take tuna, squeeze sriracha sauce on it, add cucumbers and call it a spicy tuna roll. Ridiculous! Shrimp tempura roll was a single piece of shrimp rolled with an exorbitant amount of rice. Another reviewer mentioned how so many of the rolls were deep fried and that’s true. But even worse so many have cream cheese as an ingredient. Maybe it’s my own preference, but cream cheese belongs in a bagel or cheesecake, not sushi! The best thing about the meal was the yakisoba, which they call yellow noodle. It’s sad because I was hoping this place could be my go-to place since we live close by. Alas, it’s not to be. If this place was in SoCal, it would’ve closed down by now.

The Godzilla and Malibu rolls are my absolute favorite. Anyone who I have turned on to the Malibu has absolutely loved it! The Malibu is no longer on the menu but they still make it for me. That’s small town customer service. Love the new staff uniforms, very professional. Staff is very warm and inviting. Just wish the sushi chefs would smile more and be more engaging, even to take-out customers.

Takeyama is the best sushi place in the area for the money. I love the«good bad and the ugly roll» it fills me up pretty good and you get the best of both worlds: crunchy and raw. The place is never too crowded so you’ll get your food reasonably fast and they are always super friendly.

Not thrilled with this place, they are very skimpy on pieces of fish yet average on price. I’ve eaten sushi all over Orlando so when I questioned them about what I received for what I was paying I was told that it just looks smaller because the sashimi doesn’t have rice… what??? Ummm I know exactly what I ordered and you have me just that buy about half of what everybody else provides

Shrimp Tempura Tull was just a piece of shrimp covered in rice. Not that great at all. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone

Such confusion :/ Is there a new quota I’m not aware of where we are now required to deep fry 90% of rolls, top them with pickled jalapenos and now we call it sushi? Not trying to be a hater, or judgy, but in all honesty, we are all judgers when we review a menu. Their menu boasted of «fried» rolls more than anything. It sounded fun at first when I saw a fried chicken roll, and even a bacon roll. I mean, bacon… who doesn’t love baaacooonnnn?(Sung in my favorite bacon like tone of voice) But really, I was craving something a bit more healthy, and wanted to stick to something on the not so heavy side. Here’s what we got: Tuna Kobachi — They seasoned this with like Tabasco or Tapatio hot sauce and pickled jalapenos. Really? I make this better at home: sad face: There was a Spicy Tuna Roll w/Tuna on top, and they topped it with… you guessed it! Tabasco or Tapatio hot sauce and pickled jalapenos. We ordered one of the fried rolls, which had Tempura shrimp, cream cheese and topped with a mango — this was yummy… and not topped with Tabasco or Tapatio hot sauce and pickled jalapenos. I get it, we are in the south, but it’s not really the south when you hit central Florida, and when you open a sushi restaurant, please have some legit sushi. Preferably without Tapatio hot sauce and pickled jalapenos. Please. And thank you.

Good sushi at a good price. I enjoyed it here. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful! I ordered the basic tuna roll and it was surprisingly delicious– and for only 5 dollars! The quality of fish had to be good. I could probably eat my body weight in those rolls. They give the option of low-sodium or normal soy sauce on the table. The music is good here. At the end of our meal, the server brought two kisses. It was really cute. I’ll be back for sure.

Really nice server, and great sushi. Best sushi I’ve had since moving to the area a couple of months ago. You’ll find extremely unique sushi creations on the menu; something I always like to try.

I came in for lunch, this being probably the last sushi joint I haven’t tried that’s located within a 15 minute drive from work. After a long look through the sushi menu, I started to get nervous. Rolls with fried chicken in them? Really? When it came down to it, I only saw one specialty roll that wasn’t fried or filled with cream cheese or something along those lines. That was the Spicy Rainbow Roll [see photo]. So I ordered it, along with an order of hamachi nigiri [see photo]. The hamachi was of about average quality, a bit better than what’s available at the nearby Shogun. The same can be said for the Spicy Rainbow Roll. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Again, in terms of the quality of the fish used in preparation, it’s about average. The sushi rice was a little off too — I don’t know if it was maybe a little on the old side, or just prepared differently, but it was quite stiff. Of course, sushi rice is supposed to hold together, but you shouldn’t be able to mortar bricks with it. Overall, I’m not disappointed in my lunch, and the service was good. Solid three stars, but being on the outside of what I consider to be an acceptable driving distance from work, I might not see this one again for a while.

I love this sushi joint, the rolls are delicious, the sashimi is fresh, and the classic rock they play is the cherry on top!
