Oviedo On The Park

This is a great concept that is just taking too long to materialize. There really isn’t anything there except for food trucks every Thursday and I am only adding that so this will pop up when you do a food truck search. I am sure once the shops move in this place will be hopping. It’s a nice area to walk around and they have a band that plays when the food trucks are there. one last time… Food trucks.

I appreciate Oviedo creating a new space for locals to come out and enjoy the outdoors. They did a nice job with the area although I do feel it’s a bit small. I know everyone is freaking out about the splash pad but I think it’s fine and many parents are just scouting out problems. I wish I could let my dog enjoy the splash pad though :(lol
Dog park is cute but way too small and the water fountain is already broken and leaking and wasting water… please fix ASAP.
I looked into prices to rent facility and it’s VERY pricey which is a bummer but it’s a beautiful location to throw an event right next to the water and a modern flare. Children’s play park is adorable and creative. I think we will just need to see where they go with this and if it plans on being expanded anymore. More shade is also always appreciated (especially at dog park). One bench is in shade and the other completely exposed to the elements. Kind of awkward.
