Amazing! Had the cheese board and the pesto pizza. What a great setting for a delicious lunch. We would highly recommend The Copper Oven.

The pizza was delicious once we finally got it… Took way too long the table next to us got their pizzas the same time we did and they came about 20 minutes after we ordered… Also we didn’t even get the pizza that we actually ordered… We asked for the peach and got something with corn on it. Still amazing pizza but horrible service.

We ordered four oven-fired pizzas, and they were all excellent. The menu is small, but that doesn’t matter because of the wide ranging flavors in each option. We would all definitely come again.

Gorgeous location, nice selection of wines by the glass. Definitely on the expensive size. The pizzas could be shared by two people, but only if you get something else as well — they’re about the size of a plate. We chose incorrectly unfortunately and went with a Buffalo chicken pizza special: the chicken jn buffalo sauce was cold and served salad-style as a scoop on top of the already-cooked pizza. This was so disappointing. I don’t want cold toppings unless they’re sold that way in the description! The pizza crust was thin and overall very pleasant, though a tad on the chewy side without much yeast(if any) at all. The other pizzas with red sauce and sausage that were being shipped out to other tables looked wonderful. The jealousy! Overall, the Copper Oven was a good experience: all the seating is outdoors in the gorgeous deck, they accommodated us and our dogs with grace and the service was excellent. I would return and make a wiser choice!

Simple, delicious, innovative. I loved our visit to The Copper Oven this past Saturday. I am a local and have heard about this place for years but never went. This past weekend we took a drive and ended up here on our way up the lake towards home. I was very impressed by the thoughtful details like the water glasses, carafes, napkins and paper straws. We shared a simple mushroom and crème fraiche pizza and the charcuterie with wood oven bread. I had a local beer in the cutest beer glass. Afterward we went into the barn and sampled the wines they offered and chatted up the worker. The wines were very nice, we preferred the drier reds and purchased a few bottles. If you are in the Finger Lakes and find yourself on Rt. 89 this is a must stop! Well done Copper Oven.

Excellent pizza, lovely service and beautiful location. We shared the vegeterian curry pizza with a fried egg on top, and it was absolutely delicious

Excellent spot. Serves lots of local Finger Lakes in-season food and beer, causal spot to eat and enjoy, all outdoor seating, service was good, pizzas were great — though all of them had bell peppers, which my husband is allergic to, but we could request one made without.

If you’re touring wine country down Cayuga Lake, this is the place to stop and grab a bite to eat! The pizza is absolutely delicious and 100% fresh! They bake the pizza in a copper oven right outside the restaurant, with the all the pizzas being made on hand rolled flatbread. Even their dessert menu uses the flatbread and the oven… Banana’s Foster… melted butter, bananas, caramel sauce, pecans… yes please! The restaurant(which is mainly outside) has beautiful views of the vineyard and makes you want to sit back and enjoy a class of wine. The food is mainly pizza and salad but they had enough vegetarian options and when we went they had a special garden pesto pizza, which was delicious. Service was top notch and our waitress was extremely sweet. You can also do wine tasting’s right next to the restaurant($ 3 for 6 tastes from the Cayuga Ridge Winery) and you can order the wine you like when you sit down at the restaurant. All in all a fantastic experience! We will definitely be coming back here when we visit the Finger Lakes region again.

We had a nice stop at the Copper Oven after touring the Finger Lakes area. Pizza was great — thin crust with tasty toppings, good salad and a nice local glass of wine. Sitting on the porch enjoying the food and the view. Great place to return to.

I’ve had the Copper Oven bookmarked forever– something always worked against me getting there; seasonal hours, already had dinner plans, not enough time, etc. It kept calling me though. Well, finally made it there this weekend and I’m thankful it did not fall off my radar. First of all, it was a beautiful day which only helps a guest take in the Cayuga Lake landscape. Second of all, this is a great restaurant format and I wish more would adopt it– find the thing you do well and specialize in it, rotate the menu and use creativity to keep guests interested, and try to stay local when possible. The Finger Lakes is really a gem and I was reminded of it this weekend. There is a bounty of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, etc that come from this region and the scenery is nothing to balk at and now I know there is also some great wood fired pizza. I’m not going to write extensively about the pizza because it is totally seasonal and chances are that when you go they will have an entirely different menu. I will say that it is a thin crust with creative toppings and wood fired in(surprise) a copper oven. Can’t wait to make it back there– won’t delay so long next time!

Really nice and interesting food(mostly on a pizza). There was a long wait for labor day weekend sitting at the table, but I still give it 5 stars because the staff was so nice about it. We tried the nutella + hazelnut pizza which was pretty good for dessert and filling.

This place gets a gold star for food, service and atmosphere. Their award winning Riesling Wine is worth a try. Be sure to have some of their local cheese.

The waitstaff is extremely friendly, the out door seating is great, and the food is truly fantastic. All local ingredients and great wines from the vineyard. Came up from NYC for the weekend and were thoroughly impressed. Try the summer bounty flatbread pizza(coal fired) and the charcuterie plate. Would recommend to all.

They make THE yummiest pizzas. Grab a bottle of Cayuga Ridge wine and sit on their lovely deck, and it’s a great meal. Non-drinkers can order other refreshments. They have expanded their menu recently to have dessert pizzas, too, which I haven’t tried, but they look great. All the ingredients are sourced locally and very fresh. I’d love for them to attempt a vegan pizza, but for now they usually feature one meat version and one vegetarian.
