Taco Via

Good food, quick service and much better than other fast food Mexican places.
My favorites are the Sancho, nacho with peppers and a crunchy taco.
This place could use a good cleaning though. :-(

I’ve always loved this place. The food is always good. Tostadas are awesome. Loaded with beans so you can’t pick it up. Tacos and nachos are really good.
BUT, recently it seems like they don’t pay much attention to cleaning. Several dirty booths, food on the counter, etc. And on our most recent visit, I got a large drink. When they handed the cup to me with crushed ice from behind the counter, I caught a whiff of a «funk». I smelled the cup of ice and it was coming from there. I thought maybe it was the plastic cup itself. I got iced tea, and it seemed ok. After eating, I refilled my cup with ice from the Coke machine and topped off the tea. I didn’t drink any until we got home.
When I took the first drink at home, I about puked. It tasted like I sucked on a sewage pipe. (Never done that so I’m just assuming) I spit it out and trashed the cup.
I’m going to say that it’s been a while since either ice bin has been thoroughly cleaned. I can only imagine what is growing in there. Brings to mind episodes of Bar Rescue. I’ve seen John swab some nasty stuff out of ice bins.
The only reason I gave two stars is that I’ve been coming here for several years, and have had good experiences most of the time. But it’s their responsibility to keep their customers safe. Proper food handling includes CLEANING. In that respect, they’ve definitely gone down hill. Clean the place up, please.

Love me some Taco Via! The flat screen menu boards are very nice. Huge line for lunch.
I remember being made fun of back in high school for liking Taco Via as it was much cooler to like Taco Bell. Now we all know this is not like «real» Mexican food, but it is so good in its own special way. It is a bit odd and I can see how some people would cringe at the suggestion that this is five stars. Five stars means that I seek it out when I am in town and cannot wait to eat there!
Why I love Taco Via:
–The soft and yummy beef used on 98% of their food. so good​.so strange
–The ice. It is perfect, small pieces that form a soda slushy after awhile
–The nachos. I would go just for the crunchy cheesy spicy nachos
–The taco sauce. Normally I prefer a pico or spicier sauce but theirs just works (please sell it by the bottle!)
Too bad I only get to eat here once a year. Same people have worked here for as long as I can remember.

Wait… was that processed deli chicken in the chicken enchiladas?!? What was once a fling has now become a crazed ex-​girlfriend that i’m ashamed i call up for booty calls. Red sauce… really…that’s what you call your salsa… you’re not even trying… bizarre. Why would i pay someone for this kind of punishment. Unfortunately im probably gonna go back, but i am going to steer clear of the chicken.

Extremely overpriced and over processed food. It’s nasty. I couldn’t even eat it all because I didn’t know what it really was I was ingesting. I’d rather eat Jack in the Box or Taco Bell tacos than these, and they are way cheaper too!

My combo platter was ready about three minutes after I ordered it at the counter. The burrito had plenty of seasoned ground beef, and the salad had fresh veggies. The employees weren’t exactly friendly, or cheerful, but the dining area was clean, and recently updated. Overall, just A-​OK.

It’s a cult favorite. People either love it or hate it. I agree this is a worm hole to 1985, and I’m fairly certain the employees are aliens in human costumes.

Taco Via is lucky I have an addiction to their salsa. Prices have gotten out of control at this place. «The Nacho» is a must!

Ok I love it! BUT it is actually not what anyone would consider great Mexican even for fast food! However it is something you have to grow up with and eat when you are drunk or hung over and then it is awesome! It’s expensive for fastfood as well! So in short if you grew up with it you love it but if you from out of town you will hate it!
It is like White Castle the love hate!
