We’ve been going to Dr. Parrish for about 6 years or so for our 4 children. Dr. Parrish is a very nice doctor and there are several really great things about him and his practice: 1. His prices are very reasonable. We’ve had a couple of instances where we’ve had to have in-between(not covered) cleanings and we were pleased with the cost. 2. He does not suggest work that is not necessary. Our visits to Dr. Parrish are uneventful and pleasant. Out of four young kids, we’ve never had a cavity or any other issue during our time there. The kids and I look forward to going. 3. He is eager to educate his patients and their parents. We always leave feeling more knowledgeable and empowered about our kids and their individual dental needs. We’ve had Mio several times as a hygienist and she’s great. We feel very blessed to have Dr. Parrish as our children’s dentist and would easily recommend him to others.

We switched here from another dentist in town and I must say the difference is stark. Dr. Parrish spends much more time with my kids. He actually AVOIDED pulling my son’s tooth, instead of recommending more and more dental work. That was welcome news to this mom’s pocket book(as well as my son). The front desk is very cheerful and pleasant and that’s equally as important to me as the dentist themselves sometimes because honestly, that’s who I have to deal with the most. I hope to bring my kids here for many years to come. I feel like we’ve finally found our dental«home».

I recently took my 21 month old daughter to see Dr. Stinnett for her first ever dentist appointment. As a first time mother I was a bit anxious about how the experience would be. From the moment I walked into the office, my fears were calmed. The front desk staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I even forgot to bring our insurance card with and the front desk staff could not have been nicer about my blunder. My daughter had a blast playing in the playroom until it was her turn to go back to see Dr. Stinnett. Her appointment started right on time, which was a pleasant surprise. I wish more doctor’s offices were run as efficiently as this one. My daughter would have been happy playing in the play room for another hour and was disappointed she only got to spend a few minutes playing. Dr. Stinnett and her assistant were terrific. Dr. Stinnett explained everything she was going to do before she did it and took the time to show me proper techniques in brushing my daughter’s teeth. She also shared some tips with me that she used on her own children when they were younger. Those have really helped. Dr. Stinnett has a great chair side manner and we look forward to our next visit!

took my 23-month-old little guy for his first dentist appt here last week. I don’t know what was going through my head but we arrived an hour early(I had even written down the correct time in my calendar). the woman who checked us in told me that it would probably be at least 45 minutes, but they had a play room and we were welcome to stay. since I had a few errands to run, we did those and then headed back and went straight into the playroom. it didn’t hurt that my little guy’s favorite movie(Toy Story 3) was playing. about 10 minutes later, the hygienist came to get us. my little guy loved laying back in the chair and brushing the stuffed fish’s teeth. he was very cooperative, but while we were waiting for the dentist, he was starting to get antsy. she arrived moments later and had a padded board so he could lay across our knees so she could look at his teeth. she was great with him and he even let her put a polish over his teeth without being too squirmy. she gave me a lot of great advice about when to give him juice and milk and reassured me that the binky he uses to sleep isn’t messing up his teeth. she also showed me the best way to brush his teeth. my little guy even had the honor of being the best patient of the morning and for that he was able to grab and extra toy out of the toy box. I only hope all of his dentist experiences are this painless.

Dr. Parrish is the best dentist I have been to in my 51 years. My 2 daughters love going to the dentist. He is kind, skilled and does things the right way~ not the quickest, most expensive way. We had another pediatric dentist in KC who wanted to sedate my daughter at Children’s Mercy when she had 3 cavities in baby teeth. My insurance would have paid and the OR would have been $ 10,000 alone. I took her to Dr. Parrish and he said only one needed to be filled and he did it under laughing gas. Fast forward 5 years, my 8 year old did a back walk over and broke both of her front teeth close to the nerve on a holiday weekend. Dr. Parrish met us at 8pm on a Saturday night and fixed both teeth within an hour. He is AMAZING.
