I hadn’t had El Mez in four years since living in Hawaii… coming back to it has been a little slice of heaven. Had my old go-to: burrito real with beef. It was glorious. The salsa is difficult to forget; reunited and it feels sooo good, just like that horrible song. Not giving five stars because the service could have been better. This El Mez location has always had a tough time with service if memory serves me correctly.

Yummers! We ate at El Mezcal over the weekend and it was fabulous! We both ordered the Alambre plate, and tailored it by asking for the onions to be removed and to add broccoli and mushrooms. The staff was happy to make the substitutions! The resulting plate was perfection. Also, free chips and salsa! Spring for the white cheese sauce! The waitstaff is attentive and prompt. Heads up, most of the staff speaks very little English. Be prepared to repeat yourself. Go on Tuesdays or Thursdays for $ 1 Margarita night! :)

SUPERGREATMEXICAN!!! Service was fast and polite. Food was amazing, very flavorful, not very spicy if you like that though. Huge portions with great prices I almost couldn’t finish my one burrito.

We loved the colorful atmosphere. The food very flavorful. They accommodated our large group. I recommend the shrimp nachos!

When I initially went here after the reopening, I had the enchiladas, but they were not good at all. My wife had the Caldo de Pollo soup and loved it! She eventually convinced me to go again a couple weeks later and i got the Molcajete El Mezcal. It was really good, had a very large portion, and was pretty spicy. The next week, we went again and I got the Fajita Tropical which was pretty good as well. A couple days ago we went again and I got the Burrito Gigante which was huge and also pretty good. My wife had the Caldo de Pollo soup every time and it has never disappointed her. I am glad I gave this place another chance after my disappointing meal with the enchiladas. The service was pretty average and is hit or miss on if you get a server that can speak English very well. The interior design of the restaurant is kind of tacky, but some may see it as festive. All in all, I would recommend it to anyone not getting enchiladas.
