I’ll start with the bad. Our pleasant young server had no knowledge of the wine at all. We had the opportunity to educate him a bit on the grapes and basic characteristics of the wines they produce. He was all ears. This restaurant needs to train their servers/waitstaff/bartenders better because they are, after all, working at a WINE bistro. Now, the good. The atmosphere is excellent, certainly the best Otsego has to offer. The waitstaff are attentive and friendly, and are knowledgeable about the dining menu. The food we tried was wonderful and priced appropriately. The wine list has a good variety of GOOD wines. I was pleasantly surprised. We will certainly be back. Hopefully by that time our server will be a bit more wine-informed.

We are not familiar with this area, but stumbled upon this gem! Great wine flight, olives and drunken shrimp!

I have to get five stars to Phil and Diane for their lovely establishment. The beautiful person behind the counter was Jessica, who did an incredible job of helping me navigate the wines in the menu. The New York strip was amazing and perfectly cooked!

Super funky hours, but it is worth watching. Their food is great. It turns a trip to Target into a fun little date night.

Our family had a celebratory Easter dinner at this restaurant and we were so delighted by the amazing talent of the Chef and his team. We ordered mouthwatering New York strip steaks, filet mignon with scallops, a tantalising blue cheese sauce to dip in and seasonal vegetables that packed a punch of flavor! The evening ended on a high note with decadent desserts! Our children were so impressed, and that is saying a lot because they know what fantastic food should taste like! We will be back for sure!

Was up in Minnesota in February from Texas visiting my kids, and my daughter wanted to stop here. I’m pretty picky when it comes to restaurants, and it looked like they had healthy choices on their menu. The food was so incredibly delicious, I was blown away! The staff were so friendly, the ambiance is so cozy, warm and inviting. This will be a must stop each and every time I visit in the future! Yum!!!

Four of us had lunch here and I excellent salmon and crab risotto yesterday! Everyone was delighted with their choices. The chef prepared everything perfectly. We had appetizer’s that were over the moon! Service, wonderful. They recommend wines that were perfect with our meal. The owner stopped to introduced himself and welcome us. No television were on and we had a wonderful afternoon for several of us to catch up. Also enjoyed the wine store next door and brought home nice bottle of the same wine I had for lunch. We’ll be back.

We were in the area and decided to eat here based on the good reviews and we were a little disappointed. We ordered the corn bread fritters as an appetizer. They were sort of dry and didn’t have much flavor despite being described as having a honey butter glaze. Also, there were big red onions in them. This might not be a huge deal for everyone but my wife and I really dislike onions and they were not mentioned in the description. My wife ordered the lobster pasta which was unusually spicy and chock full of crunchy red onions which were again not mentioned in the description even though every other element was listed. The lobster was very overpowered by these flavors which was sad since this dish $ 20+. I ordered the pork chop which was fine, nothing special. The sauce and sweet potato mash were good. The service was good, our waitress noticed we only ate a few of the fritters and asked if something was wrong and we explained that we aren’t onion lovers and she took them off the bill which was nice. Wasn’t good enough for us to make the drive back out here again.

5th time here, first disappointment, and it hit hard. Ordered the NY Strip medium with Cowboy Coffee Rub, and the Potato Gratin. The steak came out rare/not even approaching medium, and VERY tough. The rub had a good vibe to it but made the meat overly salty. The Gratined potatoes were shredded where I had wrongly figured on sliced, and were CRUNCHY/undercooked. Final kick in the shorts: Out of their chocolate ganache cake until Tuesday or so. I didn’t send the steak back, or complain about the potato. I am not paying them to complain about food and send it back to be «made right», I am paying them to bring out food that I ordered. I’ll try again but will cut my patronage short of I see a trend.

A very nice neighborhood restaurant! My wife and I have dined at Pour about 20 times. The ambiance is great and the service is above average. On the weekends the live entertainment is wonderful — we especially like Benny James! The owners Phil and Diane are friendly and most always present. They have a good wine selection. It’s a small menu, but you will always find something that makes you happy. The bruschetta is our appetizer of choice, and the blue cheese soufflé is good. The burgers with Bistro fries are very good. We enjoy the lobster pasta(my wife substitutes the lobster for chicken … I stay with the lobster), the strawberry ribs are good, and I highly recommend the pasta bolognese.

Congratulations to the little guys! This is a real gem in the culinary wasteland of northwestern Minneapolis. Wine list has probably 75% wines I’ve never heard of which shows some originality and thought. Now, I like this, but the food tends to be on the salty side so just understand that coming in. Salt is one of the underrated spices and it really brings out the flavor if the food. I had the sirloin steak sandwich which is properly not called a French dip. It’s spectacular. House salad with super minimal dressing isn’t for his sauce guy but the cracked pepper and Merlot salt made me a convert. Make your way here and you won’t regret it. Service was 100% spot on and atmosphere and prices were perfect. Well done.

Could be better. I’ve been to Pour several times and the food tends to have inconsistencies. The first time I tried the garden salad was on a slow weekday, and it was really good. My salad came out dressed, with the perfect amount of toppings throughout. I would have rated 5 stars. Since it was so good I had to go back and have it again. I went on a busy week night and was so disappointed. The salad was just thrown on the plate with the dressing on the side which was very bland this time around. It was a completely different salad. I’ve also tried the saffron mussels more than once(where else can you get mussels in the area?). The first time they were great, the second time they were inedible they were so spicy. Great atmosphere, service is fine, they just need to pay a little more attention to the food.

Great atmosphere, Lauren was an excellent server, it was our first time here and she walked us through the menu. Excellent wine. The small plate items we ordered were excellent, my wife really loved the risotto cakes. The drunken shrimp was off the hook!!! I highly recommend this place.

Yummy! This place exceeded my expectations. I usually keep it pretty simple like a cheeseburger or something but tonight I decided to give the lobster Pasta a try. It was delicious! Food arrived hot, tasted good and was fresh. Another person in my party got the pork chop which usually I stay away from since I’m not a pork chop fan, however I did taste it and it was also delicious! It was very moist, flavorful and just tasty. I will definitely be giving the pork chop a shot my next visit. There isn’t a huge selection of items to pick from but my dish and the other one I tasted were both excellent. I would rather a place have a smaller selection and just focus on quality vs quantity which was clearly demonstrated tonight. The wine was also excellent. I got the Moscato wine and ended up going next door before I left to bring 2 bottles home with me which is also another positive to this place the wine store is connected to the restaurant. The lighting was dark which I prefer and the décor was a nice theme. After seeing the Unilocal sticker on the door after I walked in, I can now see why the reviews are so high. The food is awesome! I love supporting good local businesses, the place was busy and it should stay that way. The owner even stopped at our table after dinner to make sure everything was good. Great service, friendly & most important excellent dishes! I will certainly come back again.

Great alcohol selection, including a store attached where you can buy any item you tried while eating. Love music frequently. Pretty good food, and the menu changes seasonally is my understanding. Fun enviroment, nice décor. A fun place for netting for drinks, date night, or taking visiting family too.

When one finds them self in Elk River Minnesota you are offered chain restaurants en mass. Find a small wine bar with an eclectic, yet simply elegant menu? Unlikely. Unless you wonder down the road to POUR. Flavor I would put up against some of the best in the business. Thoughtful and delicate with out pretense. Staff and owner are friendly and accommodating. Wine selection is on the small side but well chosen. There is a retail wine shop next door so grab some to go. My week long trips up here include at least 2 nights of meals here! Stop here. Now. You won’t regret it.

Shoutout to the owner Phil for stopping by our table and saying HI! Nice guy! We had just taken family photos and now it’s time for a late birthday dinner celebration for my sister in law. The restaurant is nice… However we were seated at a high table with a high chair for my newphew, which considering the high table we were sitting at, didnt’ do much for lil’ John since the«high chair» didn’t reach the top of the table. He was okay though. still got fed. The food was good though. Hunnie Bunnie had the mac n’ cheese which was with penne noodles of something and it was quite tasty! I had some kind of tomato pasta something or other with the grilled chicken option and it was tasty as well! I believe my dad enjoyed his bacon burger once they got it cooked right for him and everyone else seemed to enjoy their dinner as well. Nice local spot to enjoy for sure!
