This place was amazing. Our family of teens and one 5 year old loved it. The 5 year old got a little tired and we heard a little whining but she was able to pull it off on her own. Pretty easy hike, if you are in any kind of decent shape, it will be a breeze. Gorgeous trails, very well maintained. A little muddy in places(we went in April), so you might want to wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. The falls were gorgeous and the bridge was amazing — totally worth the short hike. There are serious bees on the trail(even in April) they followed us for most of the way so if you are allergic bring your epi pen just in case. The road to the site is winding and curvy, one of my kids thought she was going to puke due to car sickness. It is a little sketchy in some parts since it is one lane and cars can come quickly around the corners. Pave all the way and decent otherwise. 5.00 to purchase pass(bring exact change — no machine for debit cards). Wonderful little hike, glad we did it!

Breathtaking landscape, amazing suspension bridge and beautiful waterfall. Well maintained trail. Hike about 1.9 miles each way. Benches along the way if you need to sit. Good for all ages. Went on a sunny day. I would recommend hiking boots or rubber boots especially if raining. The mostly paved road until parking area is about 10 miles. The restrooms/outhouses toilets smell bad. By far one of my favorite places to go.

The trail itself was OK, about 4 feet wide more or less with some steep drop offs, so if you take your kids, watch them very very closely,(there are many roots sticking up along the path down to the Falls — so watch your kids even closer). Going back to the parking lot is all uphill, not bad for people in fairly good shape, we are both in our late 60’s, not hikers, in average shape, and did OK, but needed a few rests going back up to the parking lot … about a 25 to 30 minute hike going each way. There is a public restroom(free) … however — there is NO ventilation in the rest room and the odor is probably the worst I have ever experienced — no wonder it’s free! The bad part was driving up to the Falls on Route 101/NF-17. VERY dangerous and scary road(we were very frightened for our lives many times due to oncoming vehicles in the other lane, both on steep turns, and going way too fast — very close calls) … very narrow two-way road(should be only one-way) — almost all uphill, NO painted lines(none — zero) on the road, OVER30 very sharp turns(total turns OVER60) with VERY steep drop-offs(over 100 feet straight down!) ANDNOGUARDRAILS(unbelievable, but true)! Because of the VERY dangerous AND scary trip up to the Falls I gave this ‘experience’ only two stars, and this ‘hike” is NOTWORTHIT for anyone! DONOTRECOMMEND until the safety hazards described are corrected by state DOT, and until then the road should be closed!

Great hike 30 minutes outside Lincoln city. The trail was well taken care of. The whole path was well maintained and then a beautiful waterfall at the end! Trail was 3 miles round trip.
